Envy flinched back, scuttling away a few short steps as Asimona turned her rage on the empty air, although Envy refused to show any sign of fear other than their briefly coiled body and bristling spine, which was soon covered up as they rose up again and brushed themselves off.
Asimona frowned with disappointment. If Envy hadn't seen him, then how had he been there? How had she seen him? She was certain he was real - he had a physical form, he looked real, sounded real, and his presence was definitely real. She shivered as she remembered the burning, furious energy he had exhibited. There was a growl of frusteration rising in her throat. She didn't understand.
But, right now, she was still angry. Angry at Envy for being an idiot, angry at him for being rude, and angry that he was mocking her. She didn't need him around if that's what he was going to be like. Maybe she didn't even need to be here either.
She glanced back at the wall. She wasn't going to climb it, not now, not ever. She couldn't come back here. Perhaps this was where he lived. If so, she didn't plan on returning. Swiveling back to Envy, she glared at the tiny weasel, her nostrils flaring.
She then snapped open her wings and leaped into the air, soaring far over the little weasel's head. She didn't know where she was going to go now. Escape from the red dragon at least. Go somewhere were he could not find her. Preferably somewhere cold.

notes: notes here
Envy clenched their teeth in aggravation at the dragon’s uptight response. Why couldn’t she just see that they were right? There was nothing there. They tensed visibly though, at the tone of her voice, readying themselves for a sprint. But they needn’t have bothered. They glared at Asimona as she took to the skies and swooped away, somewhere above them.
