Envy's mind reeled with indignance. Mouse-squeak, again!? they thought, and Envy knew they ought to nip this in the bud before it became genuinely insulting. So, they gritted their teeth and against their better judgement, hissed
With the presence lingering in the back of their brain, Envy thought that it came with something else. Dezba's mind was like a stomcloud, heavy with negativity, but other than the anger, the emotions masked beneath could almost be mistaken for their own. The main difference was in jealousy; Envy's fires were lit by a persistent feeling of inferiority and a desperate wanting to leave their tiny, feeble shell behind for another's. But the loneliness- well, that was there. No-one would understand that, even though it was the same. Because everyone else was better. no-one could possibly understand how it felt to be this weak.
Dezba's feelings only served to feed Envy's, bringing them out into the light no matter how a mask of anger might push it back.
