Envy's mind reeled with indignance. Mouse-squeak, again!? they thought, and Envy knew they ought to nip this in the bud before it became genuinely insulting. So, they gritted their teeth and against their better judgement, hissed "Fine!". There was a short pause then, as Envy seemed to be trying to soothe the fire that stoked their adamantine pride. "It's Envy, okay?" Envy snorted quietly. At least the insufferable wolf had had the politeness, or perhaps the sheer balls to give their own name.

"Dezba. Heh... it's nice to finally be able to put a name to the thorn in my paw," Envy said with a snicker.

With the presence lingering in the back of their brain, Envy thought that it came with something else. Dezba's mind was like a stomcloud, heavy with negativity, but other than the anger, the emotions masked beneath could almost be mistaken for their own. The main difference was in jealousy; Envy's fires were lit by a persistent feeling of inferiority and a desperate wanting to leave their tiny, feeble shell behind for another's. But the loneliness- well, that was there. No-one would understand that, even though it was the same. Because everyone else was better. no-one could possibly understand how it felt to be this weak.

Dezba's feelings only served to feed Envy's, bringing them out into the light no matter how a mask of anger might push it back.

"Speech."

@Dezba
What's this? it appears that the link between characters is beginning to fade, and soon, it will be gone. The flower's cores are losing their power, and soon the chance of reuniting them will die, leaving behind a useless pearl, lovely but sad. The flowers that have not been found begin to wilt, their petals dropping one by one. The wonderful scent, fades.

If the cores are not reunited by the 16th of April, their magic will fade for good, and the remaining flowers will wither! (Note: reunion threads started before the cut-off date will have until the 1st of May to finish them)

If you've reunited the cores and are waiting for a response, please use the Request GM button to let us know!

Perhaps, it seemed to take a lifetime, or perhaps, it was two cycles well-spent. No matter how the fortunate... or maybe unfortunate bonded saw their situation, it was over now. Wrath faded into silence. pride into emptiness. Happiness left a lingering warmth, but it, too, was gone. The small pearls that the flowers left behind grew dull, and colourless iike beads of solid milk.

The lonely flowers that had called, in despair, to gembounds that might carry them to company, had withered. the scent that lingered so close, was rotten. To those who'd stumbled on a lone flower but never seen it crumble; those lonely, unfortunate souls might return one day to find their flower, withered and its pearl, lifeless.

The event has now ended! Thank you all for participating!

This marks the end of all characters' bonds IC, but feel free to continue any threads made or set before now! All who participated may post in the Update Me thread to claim their Floral Frivolity Achievement!

If you've reunited the cores and are waiting for a response, please use the Request GM button to let us know!

@Carcino would have been bonded to @Blackberry !
