Holding on for dear life, Asimona desperately reached back for her magicka again and focused it towards the water. Hurry up! I'm going to fall!" Finally, the water began to evaporate and she was able to start moving again, this time with a faster pace. She kept her concentration firm as she crawled through the tunnel, her wings clamped close to her side and her tail straight out with fear. She wanted this to be over soon.

Things got more and more difficult as she continued, it was getting harder and harder to focus. She was getting tired, her breathing getting heavy as she forced her way up the cave. A few times her magic faded and she slipped on the water that was forcing into her legs, but she managed to pick herself up again. How long is this tunnel?

At one point, her magic died away and she dug her claws again into the rock, breathing heavily, exhausted both physically and magically. She heard a soft voice touch her ear. "I told you, you can't do it! Give up, Asimona, give up and let me kill you..."
With a yowl of frustration, her magic surged again and vapor rose from the water around her. She began crawling again, her muscles burning, but her anger pushing her forward.

This time, her strength continue. Her strength did not waver. Angry and determined, she forced her way up the cave, surrounded by steam and vapor. She couldn't see anything, the mist was too thick, but she continued to climb, her claws digging into the rocks. She had to be almost there by now. She had to believe she was going to make it. The scent was so close!

The mist, whilst it was the salvation of this mission, may have ended up being its downfall if it weren't for the scent. It was easy to miss the opening, at a glance a mere crack in the wall, just large enough for Asimona to reach into. But it was in here that the statue piece had been placed; lodged firmly in between two rocks to keep it held steady, well out of the water's flow.

Drawing it out would reveal the statue's left forearm, aged and worn, but surprisingly intact considering the circumstances.

@Asimona

Warning for bad language :)

The scent was so close, as if it were right in front of her. Blind, she reached forward, her claws hitting rock wall. She scrabbled at it until she found a crack. She shoved her nose against it, breathing in deeply and her heart jumped. The scent was coming from in here! She reached it carefully, aware that she could break the stone. She felt her claws close around a piece of smooth rock wedged between the stones.

She scratched at the stone holding it in place, chipping it away until she was able to lift the stone piece out without it getting scratched or damaged. She could barely see it as she got it, but she knew that this is was she had come here for.

"How do you like that?!" she screeched triumphantly. "I got it! Fuck you!"

She smirked when he didn't respond and she turned, realizing that she had no idea how she was going to get down now.

Asimona decided that there was no point in trying to walk down the river the same way she had gotten up. It would be hard and frustrating to evaporate water that came from behind her. So, instead, she decided with a moment of hesitation, that she would try and freeze the river and...skate down it?

Nervous, she opened her mouth to expel ice into the water, but nothing came. The magic wasn't coming. And in that moment, she realized that her magic was cut off completely and water began surging around her feet. Within seconds, she had lost her footing. She immediately brought her front claws up and crossed them over the stone piece, pushing it against her chest. And then she was falling.

With a loud cry, she was thrown off her feet. The water surged around her, as if angry she had defied it for so long. She tumbled down the cave, trying desperately to slow herself with her hind legs, but to no avail. She eventually cave up and curled herself into a ball and let the plates on her back protect her.

It didn't take nearly as long to fall down the tunnel as it did hiking up. Within what seemed like seconds, the ground fell away from beneath her and she was falling through free air, the force of her tumble throwing her away from the waterfall. This was her chance.

She threw her wings out from her side and tried to catch the wind of her fall. However, she had underestimated just how fast she was going and how much momentum was against her. Still weak from her journey up the cave, she wasn't able to hold her wings steady as air burst across the thin film. They were flung back and she was sent tumbling all the way to the ground.

She slammed into the rock with a hard thud, knocking all the breath out of her body. She was lucky enough that her wings, while useless to keep her in the air, had at least slowed her a bit. Enough to keep her from any major harm. Nothing was broken, but she was exhausted and sore all over. But she had to get the stone piece back.

She opened her arms and let the thing tumble from her grip, breathing heavily. Why was such a thing causing her so much trouble, she wondered. She thought she heard a voice calling, but she ignored it, too tired to worry about anything. After a few moments of rest, she picked herself off the ground and picked the stone up in her jaws. She faced towards the tunnel that led her back to the rest of the statue and began to trudge her way there. It would take her a while, at this pace, but she had it at last. She needed to know what would happen when the statue was whole.
