She gave Envy a cold smile before giving it a small bow.

Envy tensed slightly. Perhaps? they wondered to themselves, faintly irritated. they shook their head slightly. No, 'perhaps' simply wasn't good enough. They tapped a foot, tail flicking wildly, and paced in another circle, their long torso barely keeping balanced as it swayed.
Reseda offered them magic in return... and word of mouth. She'd spread their name, she said, and that was tempting, one paw stroking their chin as they leaned vaguely away as though for a better view of their new subject.
@Reseda
Reseda did not know how to respond to the little one's demands. It was not her intention to have anyone else be leader of the Sins. It was not even her intention to be leader, at least not yet. But if its what got Envy into it, then she would oblige for now.
That was that settled, but she was confused about its further demands. Had she not done a good promise that she would introduce it as leader? And had she not been clear that she did not want its help, but was only offering it this position? But, still, there was a way to speak to it to please it...hopefully.

notes: Depending on the spell Envy wants to learn, I can send over some magicka to help pay for it, if you want! I'd prefer it not to be high intensity, since money.
Envy grinned, a wave of satisfaction shuddering through them, visibly.
Envy blinked at their offer, skirting around their demands for followers. The weasel's tail lashed briefly but their gaze flickered upwards in consideration. They hummed long and low, tapping a foot.
Envy was immensely excited for the idea of a new spell, and they twitched eagerly, face splitting into a sharp-toothed little grin.
@Reseda - that's up to you! one of the main things with Envy is that if they learn about a spell or see it used, they'll want it and eventually learn it. Just depends on what Reseda wants them to get, or wants to keep to herself I suppose. I have plenty of magicka for it already, LOL
Reseda gave Envy a crooked smile. Her best one? Well, that was asking a lot. She wasn't sure she was willing to teach Envy her best. It was an ability she jealously guarded. Well, all of her magic were things that she was very unwilling to let go. But she had promised. And it wouldn't hurt to show it and teach it one of her best, but not the best. The one that she had seen long ago, shown to her by the deep one. Yes, that was a good one.
She took a step back to create some room between the two of them and looked up. She always made sure to cast her demonstrations of this spell away from them. It was dangerous, to say the least, to be anywhere close.
She looked down at the weasel and gave it a grin.
@Envy
Envy waited with an impatient shudder, their tail flicking, eyes narrowing eagerly. At the lizard's command, they glanced briefly around to find something, bounding over to a nearby stone and gripping onto its rugged surface. Almost immediately they felt their hindpaws scrabbling to grasp, tugged up off the ground, and they let out a shrill sound, kicking and fighting to keep their grip. Still they stared, watching wide-eyed the hole in the air and the pebbles rising towards it. Just as their forepaws were beginning to pull loose of their stone with a scrabbling noise, their life beginning to flash before their eyes, the magic cut off, and Envy dropped lightly to the ground, huffing and panting briefly.
Practically glowing with newly-digested knowledge and eagerness, the weasel groomed their fur flat after the ordeal and swaggered forward, past Reseda. They sucked in their breath and focused, searching for the trigger inside of them that would help find the key to unlocking this new, and dangerous element. The weasel was quiet and surprisingly still for a while, feeling the air around them and trying to work out how to poke a hole in the fabric of reality like she had. Finally, Envy sucked in their breath, drove their hind claws into the ground and dropped to all fours, coiling in concentration as they unleashed the magic from their gem onto the world before them.
It took a few moments, but they felt a surge of energy seethe through their body and fizzle out into the air, causing their heart to hammer and their body to feel light. In that moment, they just wanted to jump and twist and turn and shake out all of the excess, but a point of blackness had opened in the air a metre or so away, their fur rustling in a suddenly awakened breeze. They felt their grip slipping slightly as they were pulled forward, and the pebbles that had escaped Reseda's wrath were instead crushed by Envy's. The weasel shrilled, feeling powerful as they watched their spell evolve and grow. It was only when they were pulled free of their spot and began to slide towards the dangerous hole that they cut off the spell, dust settling, and Envy left panting once again.
The weightless feeling had gone, leaving their stubby limbs feeling leaden. The little one stood up straight, brushing themselves off again and looking expectantly at Reseda, their gaze seething with pride.
@Reseda
Reseda watched Envy cast the spell, she watched the pocket of space open and dug her claws into the dirt again. She was not lifted this time which at least showed that Envy needed some work, but still, they had performed it well.
If it had been before, she would have cared about this. She would have been jealous that Envy had learned the spell so quickly. But she didn't. She had the spell herself, she had learned it first. She had more time to practice and perfect. That was more then enough for her.
@Envy
Envy appeared to appreciate the praise, their little tail twitching dramatically and paws proudly grooming their chest. They were pleased to have mastered it so fast, especially with it being such a difficult spell, and they were eager to keep practicing it. Maybe they'd even be able to stay on the ground next time! But a little part of them thought bitterly that, if they weren't so small, the spell would be a lot more useful to them. They were disappointed that this was Reseda's only spell. or.... well, the only one she'd teach them right now, anyway.
The little weasel lowered their paws from their chest fur.
They went from looking smug, to suspicious.
Envy grinned, looking at Reseda expectantly for a while.
And with that, the little creature was gone, a flash of green disappearing amongst the glowing mosses. They seemed awfully pleased with themselves, bounding away with a spring in their step, back towards Orion.
-exit envy-
Reseda dipped her head, wondering how this would all work out.
But Envy seemed to be done with her and she couldn't blame them. As they bounded away, she called out to them,
