"Ah... You sure?" their shaking says otherwise she was also a little worried if they are upset by something like holding back crying or something since holding back from crying can make one tremble unintentionally.

"Oh? Why are you excited...?" it was maybe a silly question, after all, they said Pippy is only their second meeting with another living being, perhaps it is because around those times for her she was excited more terrified, but many others are not like Pippy.

When they brought their wing out too, Pippy studied it curiously, soon after she was playfully prodding and batting it with her wing as it seems they are OK with getting touched, well to this extent anyway no need to go too far, so she opts to keep on curiously playing with their wing.

"Eh...?" she seemed a bit stunned from what they said as Pippy cocked her head a little. Magick was fascinating as always, humming sounded new to her, but her quiet reaction was on how they mentioned a familiar name; 'Envy'. Now Pippy doesn't dislike Envy or anything, not at all, feelings about them are more mixed and complicated; they seemed mean, but apparently, when their encounter came to a close they said they like her? Not to add it sounds like they were nice to this Gembound here if they were giving them encouragement on practising Magick.

"Oh, go keep on trying you can do it," she snapped out her slightly shocked reaction hoping to encourage them herself when nothing appears to be drawn out, it was something she has had past experiences with and it's always a let down when it happens.

Pippy's smile brightened when she took note on how happy they are now, tail wagging and all as a continuous high whine sound echoed throughout, she at first thought it was a sound from these cave's lanterns as such a subtle soughing sound was ever-present in those lanterns. But it was louder than usual and sounded much closer it was something Pippy is a bit iffy about with her sensitive ears and all making them droop a little to block it out a little.

"H-Heh... Neat..." she nodded nervously, Pippy isn't sure if she likes this Spell but no need to put a dipper on their excitement, she is familiar on how excellent it is when Magick works successfully.

"Oh-? I can try," rubbing one her wings nervously, it has been a while since her last attempt at Magick she worries she's a little rusty now.

Still, she tries, allowing herself to relax to be able to clear away some thoughts and loosening all muscles. The mind filled with her desire to draw her Magick out, to not fail at this, muscles around her chest adorned on her chest not relaxed as much as her other muscles are as it may help in her Magick concentration to focus on her Gem which controls her Magick. Soon her Gem crackled with such colourful, bright lights like a light-bulb flashed on from her imagination as her Gem was said light-bulb.

Some small vines not too far from her and this Gembound which have grown and clung to this tower peak's wall like a scar were now waving and wriggling around like they were worms or snakes this whole time. Pippy is none wiser she is doing this though; she is aware her Magick is doing something though, for her Gem only glows for this long if her Spell worked like a charm.

"I... Think it worked? Did you see anything besides my Gem happen?" maybe they witnessed unless her Gem glowing itself is a Spell, doesn't make sense why it always glows even when using Spells involving plants.

"Yep, I'm sure! I'm only excited because I'm meeting somebody new! I love making new friends!" they replied, feeling more than a bit relieved that Pippy didn't realize they were lying. They wagged their tail in joy as Pippy played with their wing. It wasn't wrapping her in a feathery hug and cuddling her, but it was certainly something.

They watched as the little bat cast a spell, their gemstone giving off a bright light as.. something happened. "Nope! Lemme look around." The cockatiel went to the edges of the peak, looking around for anything distinctly magic-y. Movement caught their eye, and they turned to see a few vines wriggling like worms. "Oh, hey, look! The vines are dancing!" They gestured with their wing for her to come closer and see.

"Oh! OK then! Yeah it is nice..." she honestly got more touched by this, maybe it has to do with how one would be this excited to meet one like herself and wants her around. Despite all previous positive encounters Pippy at times does not view herself in a positive manner which may have kept her timid nature strong as occasionally her thoughts get choked with poison on ideas how Gembound she encounters being possibly kind but may not want one like her around anyway.

When they didn't seem to mind her playing with their wing, if anything it seems they are more excited she in a way wraps her' around their's to hold it and shakes it a little, a bit like a handshake or something still if they dislike her doing this much she'll stop.

"Oh OK..." she released their wing and Pippy got a little fidgety with her flight-limbs, fidgeting with them like she was kneading some small, invisible bread dough. Nervousness crept in over nothing happening at all as it is possible; she's hoping how getting her hopes up won't result in disappointment over her Spell failing.

"Ah-? T-They are?" excitement and curiosity creeping in now as she slowly went over to where they were; where they are pointing. Sure enough, vines were making twirling and swirling movements, some braiding with each other; in-fact some their dancing moves were a little similar to how she was fidgeting with her wings a few seconds ago which made Pippy's eyes widen a little taking note on those movements in particular.

"D-Did I do that?" Pippy had her voice raised a bit, quite shocked if it is as such and it was her doing for this was a Spell she has never used before until now; she hadn't even the slightest idea she possessed such a Spell.

"You sure did!" they replied, smiling. The cockatiel extended their wing to the young bat, hoping they would play with it again. "Controlling plants like that is really cool! I only know one little hum spell, but hopefully I learn more things as I explore the caves!"

A thought came to them. "Say, do you know how to learn extra spells?"

@Pippy (Apologies for the wait, I had no muse!)

"Ah... Heh..." Pippy got a little flustered from their words giving them a shy smile, rubbing her face with her wing a little as she wasn't quite sure how to respond to this Gembound's words as to Pippy it sounded like a compliment a little.

Shy or not she from some excitement on successfully casting a Spell, and a new one too wrapped her wings around their offered one, well more like a glomping their's as she can't resist now in hugging this nice Gembound. Pippy will stop in an instant if it turns out they do not like her cuddling their wing.

"Heh... I-I g-guess it is a little cool huh?" oh no more compliments she appreciates them, but she has no idea how to respond to them. Aw gee...

"Oh! Go for it, there are so many I don't know how many exist but there seem to be lots!" she snapped out her embarrassment briefly to encourage them, as Magick was fascinating every time its topic comes out most likely Pippy shall learn about a brand new Spell when he believes she has witnessed them all.

"Ah... Well..." Pippy was no expert on learning new Spells, after all, for her, they appear to come to her from nowhere or from a desire on what she wants as when she learned about a Spell to light rocks up from Oliver she learned it within minutes.

Still, she has been told some things about Magick before by Amras who is a Magicka expert and helped explain some things such as learning new Spell

"Someone told me that... It is different for every Gembound, for some a new Spell may come forth from their desire, some appear for no reason," she answered while getting deep in thought. These two things did apply to Pippy, Amras suggested why some happen for no reason is possibly due to instinct which does make sense in a way after all when she emerged she crawled around with no issue despite never getting taught how to crawl, it is fascinating to some extent what instinct can develop one like so.

"For them, they learn new Spells based on rules they have learned about Magick and so go with precise planning for it," Amras said some complicated words when explaining how it worked for them. It's odd how she is thoughtfully describing principles in Magick while still holding onto their wing here.

Awww.. they were so adorable when they were getting complimented. The cockatiel made a mental note to keep complimenting the tiny bat. "Well, I really really want to learn new spells, so hopefully I get new spells soon!"


They cautiously lifted the tiny bat up with the wing he was holding onto, wrapping her in a hug. They mentally did a victory dance as they finally got to hug the bat.

"Hey, what's your name? I never asked!" they said.

Anymore compliments possibly getting directed at Pippy may make her completely cover her face with her wings in embarrassment, it would be like hiding her face under a turtleneck sweater collar.

"Oh, that's nice! I'm sure you'll get some soon!" she encouraged them more, finicky as Magick is it is so exciting with all many amazing things it can do what Magick is capable appears endless more so than these caves which already seem so vast for her little perspective.

A sensation similar to falling but in reverse came, slow, but it made Pippy gasp and frantically turn her head around in many different spots.

"Wh-Wha-?" before she could process it all and her initial panic Pippy found herself getting such a warm, loving cuddle from them, and Pippy practically melted panic in their hug, nuzzling them and burying her face in their feathers it was like she is relaxing and snuggling up into a warm, cosy bed. She was beaming so much now as she nuzzled them overjoyed.

It's official; this Gembound is the best there ever is, like Oliver is too, getting such a gentle, affectionate hug proves it.

"I'm Pippy! Hi!" she craned her neck to make eye contact giving them a fond smile, no more stutter or shyness in her voice now. If she had a tail herself, she'd be wagging it in her joy.

The cockatiel was certainly enjoying being in such a close vicinity to their new friend. They chirped happily as they held Pippy close, able to effectively cradle her in their wings due to her small size. They smiled back at the bat. "Pippy's a good name!"

Pippy herself was enjoying it, closing her eyes from how relaxed she is, and avoiding any feathers getting into her eyes as she nuzzles and buries her face in their feathers more. It's going to be awhile until this Gembound can get her to let go now, she is now clinging to them like a koala. Pippy loves getting hugs or snuggles they always managed to cheer her up, and it is on how a Gembound bigger than her and can easily crush her with their claws, wings and all and yet instead they use those said things which can hurt her to give her a gentle hug and only wish to be her friend. Sure this Gembound doesn't tower over her much in comparison to other Gembound, but they are indeed still more massive than her. It touches her in a way when she views these hugs like so; it makes all previous distrust vanish, may even consider them here as a best friend despite only meeting them only a few minutes ago.

They seem to share her joy as they chirped which made her respond with her bat chirp, although quieter from some nervousness. She nuzzled more as they tightened their hug and cradled her a little, she was so comfy here she could go to sleep. Pippy... If what they said before about only having a second encounter with another living creature they are probably much younger than Pippy, this current scenario surely doesn't display this fact well.

"O-Oh thanks!" still a little flustered on getting a compliment even one as simple as getting told her name is a good one, although Pippy despite her many insecurities is admittedly proud about her name on how she managed to craft together a name which has such meaning even though she emerged not even minutes before she chose her name.

"Wh-what's your name?" if she considers them the best she should have wisdom on what to call them, be so rude not to in Pippy's eyes.

"Oh, I don't have a name yet!" the cockatiel replied. "Since names are permanent and all, I wanna make sure I pick the best name possible!" They thought for a moment, remembering that Envy made up a nickname for them. "You can give me a nickname if you want!"
