There was no consciousness before a loud crack awoke Fallah. Large, blue eyes snapped open. The cave stood distorted, cast in a blue light. There was no explicit thought or feeling. It was simply the awareness of oneself.
Another crack and the walls around the Lynx tumbled away. She lay there for a while with no concept of time. She was unaware that twenty seven cycles had passed since she last set foot on the cave ground.
What had happened? Slowly, Fallah's confusion started to grow as her memories resurfaced. There was Fisher and Black... Golems... other gembounds. Fallah remembered that while she didn't relish in the feeling of battle, her heart swelled with the feeling of love as she fought beside her two companions.
Had she been defeated? What happened to Black and Fisher? Fallah searched her memories for answers, but in her final moments, she had simply launched herself into battle with the feeling of love driving her.
That was all she could remember. Could her companions have been... shattered? Tears pricked at Fallah's eyes, although she didn't understand it fully. She forced herself to stand and look around. She wasn't even sure if the cave looked the same as when she had last visited so many cycles ago. Regardless, Fallah looked around for any signs of when she had been here last.
"Speech"
@black feel free to join or not join if you wanna! I just thought you might like to know that Fallah is up and kikin'
Fallah stood for a moment, her eyes searching. They struggled to focus as her body readjusted to being out of its chrysalis. She could hear her heart beating and her breaths as they dissipated in front of her.
"Fallah! It is you! Are you well?"
Fallah jumped at the sudden noise, struggling to maintain her footing. How did someone get so close? The lynx frantically searched over the large shadow in front of her.
Wait...
That was a gembound.
That was Black.
Before Fallah could react, Black began speaking again.
"Have you slept? It is not safe, not now--there are golems, and magic is dangerous."
Farrah nodded slowly as the words sank in. She couldn't analyze her feelings at the moment. Everything was discombobulated. She wasn't even sure Black was truly in front of her. What if she was making him up? Stranger things had happened in the cave before.
"I slept... How long did I sleep?" she breathed. Her icy eyes studied the man's face.
"The golems. We fought the golems. What-"
Fallah shook her head. Whatever happened had happened.
"Is everyone okay? What should we do?"
@Black
Black mentioned that he was avoiding any of the monsters, asking Fallah if she was hurt. Unsure, the lynx surveyed herself. Eventually, she shook her head.
"I am unharmed," she confirmed.
Black asked her to rest, explaining the recent activities of the caves. It seemed rather dangerous, but Fallah was no stranger to that.
"I have just awoken, I don't wish to rest again so soon."
She was a little scared that perhaps if she slept, she wouldn't wake up again for many cycles. As Black approached her, Fallah offered a headbutt to his chest as cats were wont to do.
"Were you alone? Have you met others?" She asked, still seeking to bury herself in his comforting presence. For however long she had been gone, she hoped that Black had been able to spend that time with others.
@Black Sorry I'm so late, there's so much going on here.
