Shengxiao certainly seemed eager to try out his magic, which encouraged Scorch to explore his own. Face twisting in concentration, he tried to reach into the gem on his chest, calling for something new. Moss was fun, yes, but there had to be more his magic could do! A moment later, he felt a rush of energy - magic - and something green and segmented sprouted in front of him, breaking through the patch of moss he'd summoned earlier. It grew surprisingly tall for something newly sprouted, although it was clearly still young and short. It was shaped like a cone, and the tip looked rather sharp. Carefully, he reached out to poke it and decided that although it wouldn't hurt him like this, he should probably be careful not to grow it too fast.
Meanwhile, grey rippled across Zody's fur, and soon he looked almost exactly like the rest of Orion. Scorch focused his eyes harder, trying to see Zody's outline. It took the owl several moments to find him, and it probably helped that he already knew Zody's general location.
"Great job!" he exclaimed.
"I could barely see you and I was trying really hard and I already knew what to look for. I'm sure if someone walked past you, they wouldn't notice you!"
Zody began turning back into his normal colors, and Scorch beamed at him. He extended a wing and waved it in the Tower's general direction.
"See that tall rock back there? It had little versions of these -" he waved the other wing at a cluster of crumbling buildings
"-except less broken! I think maybe if we hop on top of one, then use that one to hop on top of the next one, we'll reach the sparkly crystals eventually!"

Zody's eyes moved to where Scorch was pointing. He blinked slowly, trying to see what the owl was seeing. The tower was tall, yes, but the ceiling was just so high. How where they going to get all the way up there?
His ears twitched thoughtfully as he looked around the room. His eyes just so happened to roam towards the collection of cliffs on the opposite side of the room. They seemed to go up pretty high. Perhaps not high enough to touch the ceiling but it might be their best bet!
He turned towards Scorch, eyes shining.
"I've thought of a better idea! How about we go and climb those cliffs over there? I'll bet that we can get even closer if we can climb them!
@Scorch
Scorch waited excitedly as Shengxiao looked around, ears twitching. Those were very big, fluffy ears. He wondered if he had them too? The owlet tried reaching to feel his head with a wing, but that didn't work. So while Shengxiao was looking very focused on a bunch of rock slabs, he took the opportunity to very subtly (or so he thought) shift nearer to a rock and rub his head on it. He didn't feel any ears.
Disappointed, he returned to his original position just as Zody turned around and suggested a new idea - climbing a set of rocky cliffs. He looked at them, humming thoughtfully as he bobbed his head to get a better view.
"Wow, they sure go really high! But there's more space between them than I think I can jump. Still, we can try it if you want!"
