Character-made Locations: Densites, Landmarks, Other
Many of our Gembound choose to have locations of their own here in the cave and sometimes it gets hard to keep track of who is where! If your character has a den or landmark they have created of any kind, or maybe something else entirely (such as shops, shrines, or herbal gardens), please post
with your individual character accounts detailing the location, including what cave or tunnel it is in.
A character's status (display group) will indicate how upkept a location will appear to others.
— If your character is active (Lone Gembound or Group) then it will be assumed the location is visited regularly by your character, and the scent is relatively fresh.
— If your character becomes Inactive then it will be assumed, by default, they are hibernating in their densite (if applicable), and the longer a character hibernates, the more their locations will suffer as a result.
— A Deceased character's locations (and any items noted within) will fall into disarray and eventually into ruin unless claimed by another.

Within Eridanus lies the self-proclaimed guardian of the forest, Rift. Within the dense jungle, there is a clearing in the normal canopy of trees, dominated by a huge, ancient tree, thick and twisted with gaping tunnels beneath the roots. The entire clearing is covered with a beautiful, colorful garden, sorted by plant and color, up kept by Rift himself. Not perfectly cut down but not overgrown either. Cycles of work have made it look like nature had perfectly blessed this clearing.
Underneath a collection of roots is a soft glow and stepping inside reveals a small but comfortable little nest. Two beds of moss and ferns are bundled on the ground and the walls are lined with Rift's signature glowing moss. Multiple cracks in the roots hide many dried herbs, flowers, and berries. There's a large wooden bowl in the corner flecked with crushed plants - a small alchemy station, perhaps?
Near the west walls of
Canis, but near enough to see the bone fortresses from a distance, is a thick, deep, round(ish) pile of bones. This bone pit has a trail leading up from its right side, curving around it to arc onto a tall ledge that juts out over its top. The pit itself is wreathed in various fungi and spores--some possibly defensive in nature, others providing a soft blue-green phosphorescent glow.
From this area is a packed, faint trail over the rock down to the West Walls. Here, there's a small pool of stagnant water, thickly grown with ferns and grasses; against the wall itself, around the back of the pool, is a cultured 'garden' of various fungi. These fungi are growing on different substrates: rotted wood brought in from elsewhere, bone, dirt, excrement, etc.
The entire area faintly smells of its main inhabitant: Giggle, the fungus-coated hyena.
Interactions with Giggle are always welcome. She is a seer, a bonecaster, but any interaction is open. Just post in Canis, bearing this description in mind, and tag Giggle!
At the edge of the Heart of Cetus, there is a very strange offering pile: a tall mound of ever-mounting Lesser Gembound corpses. The bottom decay; the top are fresher.
Fish, cave deer, bats, rats, spiders and more are piled here. The mound rests right at the edge of the vast, black open lake.
Sometimes, the pile vanishes, leaving only a pool of goo in the shallow water in the reeds. Sometimes, the big, dark alligator Dragon can be seen hauling more things into the pile.
Some distance away, against the cave walls, is an old 'map' carved into the stone and made to glow faintly. It's likely unknown to most why it's there, or who did this, but it seems to be a crude map of the caves.
Feel free to tag Dragon in Cetus if you ever want to encounter him, or his... questionable collection!
In Monoceros, a dragon's den can be found. It is very high up on the far distant, left-hand wall when one enters the cave--near the top, in fact, of Monoceros' enormous height. The ledge angles up, heavily-sunned by the light orbs for most of its length, but darker and cooler in the back.
Scorched bones, fur and rock can be found around the outside of the den. Within it, however, under the overhang formed at the rear of the ledge, is a massive and always growing pile of 'shinies.' From baubled stones to old pieces of relic armor, to discarded Gembound gems--and all the way to crystals that hum and sing softly with strange magic--it's clearly a dangerous hoard to raid.
Given that there's often a big black dragon resting in this den, well--doubly so.
just @ Dread! I am always looking for more RP of any variety.
In the middle of Tunnel N is a very large nest, halfway pushed into an alcove in the wall. Within the dark cave are a variety of beds of many different sizes and many different materials and the whole area is littered with bones, some still with scraps of meat on them. There are a number of glowing mushrooms in here, some of them ripped to shreds, other untouched. Just outside the alcove is the skeleton of a bird on its back with a number of bright blue and black feathers dusting the ground around it, although most of them have decayed into nothing. Nearby this skeleton is an area covered with dried blood and littered with scraps of dark blue gems.
It seems like the whole place had once been a battleground from the amount of blood splattered everywhere. There's a small dip in the ground that many blood trails lead to and this is where there is a disgusting pile of half-rotted carcasses, bones, and full skeletons. The stench here is terrible so its a good thing that it is some ways away from the main part of the nest. The outside area is completely open and unprotected, showing off the arrogance, confidence, and brutality of the family for all to see.
The craigs of Cetus is dotted with jagged towering stones and deep trenches. Mist is nearly an ever present camouflage making the area eerie and uninviting in a confusing maze of pathways. This environment encourages isolation, making it ideal for one who is weary of most.
One of these giant stones toppled over at some point many cycles ago, resting at a slight angle against trees and other rocks. Underneath, an area was dug out; a carpet of moss and ferns rest against the dirt floor to protect from the damp earth. However, Selena is more likely to be seen resting along the smooth top of the fallen stone. It is a simple, obscure place befitting a likewise simple and obscure feline.
Will other weary travelers, fellow outsiders in the world of Origin, be likewise drawn to such a place?
Feel free to ping me! Selena is very skiddish of new people and may get defensive. If calmed, though, she is slowly developing a taste for philosophy and such.
Within the Chambers ofCanis, Kavish resides. A small room near the entrance of the Chambers is filled with downy feathers and soft pelts from Lesser Gembouds in the far right corner, matted together ina bed shape big enough for a certain, evil black Pomeranian to rest in. Across the room, a small pile of bones can be found mostly from rats and mice.
Ping Kavi if you want to rp with him
On one mid-level ledge in Monoceros is the home of Glory, a wide entrance marking the opening of a roomy cave. It doesn't look so roomy, though, as there's all sorts of clutter and junk scattered around the walls. Most of it looks like broken armor and weapons from the nearby tunnel as well as various gems, trinkets, and scraps foraged from Orion and other caves.
There is a section of the wall that is at least a little more aesthetically pleasing. This is where Glory keeps his completed works and projects. They're kept in good shape and aren't all lying on top of each other.
Right in the middle is his forge - a large rock, with the top cut off and covered with a dark metal. Next to it is a circle of stone, melted together, and protecting a big pile of coal, which is lit when Glory begins his work. There is a dip in the ground, surrounded by welded stone and filled with water for dipping hot metal.
Wedged into the corner of the cave, almost as if it were an after thought or a minor detail, is a small nest made of dry branches and leather scraps. This is where Glory sleeps, but it doesn't look like he spends a lot of time in it.
Location: Tunnel H | Eridanus entrance
Mongo's home can be found inside of Tunnel H. It is located not far from the Eridanus Entrance, among the trees.
The ground is marked, scratched and covered in his scent. There are markings on the trees where he has broken off bark, clawing to mark it as his.
High up, near the roof of his cave, is his 'den'. A pair of tree's branches have grown together, forming a basket of sorts. The bottom of the basket is covered in various soft things - his shed fur, shed bird feathers, and found clumps of fur. This is where he lives, and he stores his things. Things that won't fit in his basket are tucked into various holes in his trees.

Interactions with Mongo are always welcome! Just post in Eridanus near the exit, or in Tunnel H, and tag Mongo!
