ORIGIN - "insanity" has entered the room

The black dog strutted though the bone piles, barely taller thanthem, hidden amongst the shadows. He peered around every corner with caution, fear of the silver eyes coming for him once more. Faint whispers echoed in the back ofhis mind, and occasionally he'd see the slinking figure of a cat that he only ever saw when he was in the void.

Kavish hadn't left a small corner in the chambers of Canis, barely surviving off of the cave rats that had dared to come near his domain. Now though, he had decided it was time to return, to begin his takeover of the caves. The stupid, imbecile of a cat had not come for him yet, so why would she now?

It was in his great excitement to explore and run all over the place that the strange hybrid creature had come bursting into the room of bones. Through the tunnel he sprinted, his strong hands grabbing at the ground to push him further, fueled by the strong muscles of a tiger while his back legs kicked as powerful as a horse, digging into the earth with the paws of a wolf. His neck bent forward and his long tail streaming behind him, he was truly a creature of speed.

He wasn't expecting, though, the floor to suddenly be littered with bones. All he had seen was a cave ahead of him. He felt dampness seep into his hands as he splashed through a puddle and then, as he reached for his next step, his arms came flying out from under him as they grasped at a bone which instantly shifted and clattered away, sending him flying forward with his momentum.

He cried out loudly as he went rolling forward, the bones painfully breaking his fall. They clattered loudly as he skidded to a halt, feeling thoroughly beaten by the rough landing. He was now covered with disgusting, rank water, having caught himself in many a puddle during his epic tumble.

But it seemed not to even phase him as he immediately leaped to his feet, ignoring the scrapes and bruises he had collected on the short little journey. It was much darker in this room then he was used to - despite having a rat's head, he didn't seem to inherit the eyes of such a creature. He tried to use some kind of magic, the primal, animalistic phenomenon that swirled within him. He felt a gentle burning in his chest, but nothing happened. He shrugged. He could try it again later.

He lifted his nose curiously and sniffed - the sense of smell was definitely something that he had gotten from his rodent heritage. His whiskers twitched as he caught a scent and he looked towards the place where it was leading him. All he saw were piles of bones and dark shadows. But...wait, there was something moving there. It almost looked like a moving shadow, as he couldn't see it clearly, but something was there.

He padded forward, squinting to try and get a good look, but he simply wasn't used to a dark room like this just yet. "Hello? Is someone there?"

The scraping of claws filled the deadly silent room, putting the Pomeranian on edge. Was it the cat, here to taunt him once more? Or perhaps it was a new possibly loyal subject? Kavish needed to spread his name, get his paws and teeth out once more to begin his reign, for real this time.

A voice spoke out, and the canine's head immediately snapped in its direction, his body frozen in the shadows. Having been in the dark for a long time, his eyes had adjusted, his vision nearly perfect in the pitch black world around him. A strange creature, a mixture of things that made no sense, had been the owner of the voice. It seemed dangerous, but definitely not the cat. So he was safe, for now.

Kavish strutted out of the shadows, head held high. "Hello friend, I am Kavish! And you are?" He greeted, deciding to try and trick the creature.

Zody watched as the little dog came strolling out of the shadows and, for a moment, the hybrid thought that the shadows had formed themselves into this fluffy canine shape. But no, it was easy to see the gem between the ears - this was definitely a living creature and not just shadows incarnate. But, then again, what did he know?

At first, they froze up, an instinct making them step back a little bit with surprise. Their muscles tensed as if they were about to run away, but it passed quickly. The dog was barely as tall as his shoulders. What could it do to him? Besides, it looked friendly!

But of course, Zody would probably not understand an evildoer from a potential best friend. Which, of course, would be his mistake here.

Still finding it a little hard to see, he tried to use his magic again, but it seemed the brief time earlier that he had been able to use it had passed. It just wasn't working. He pushed the thought away and focused on the smile spreading across his face. "Hello, Kavish! Oh, a friend! That makes me so happy! Most people just ignore me! I'm Shengxiao, but you can call my Zody. Apparently its easier."

His tail began to wag furiously, as if it were a dog's tail, but the length did not make for easy wagging. Instead, it made a strange wiggling effect, almost like ripples through water and it definitely looked very strange. But it was at least a sign of happiness. It was very exciting meeting a new person, and especially a friendly one!
