At the small compliment of her magic, Huckleberry sat up a little taller, proud. Yes, that was the one thing that she truly loved about herself. Her magical abilities, tempered and trained the way a wolf would sharpen their claws.
He pose which had shifted to proud and strong went back to crouching and nervous. She nodded blankly at Jayberry's comment.
With an internal wrench of frustration, she pulled her attention back to Jayberry and the gem. She had to focus!
The she-wolf smiled as Huckleberry seemed to preen at her compliment, allowing her tail to wag like a dog happy to have made his Master proud. Well, she might as well have been. Just a prim-evil dog, with their kin instead of their Master. However, she had to admit that the confidence that Huckleberry was showing was surprising and, indeed, made her proud.
Huckle had always been far too uncertain and shy, and so to see them speak so confident for once was... conflicting. On the one paw, Huckleberry really needed to become more confident. Yet, Huckleberry was drifting from the family, and so it would be best for them if they remained withdrawn.
However, she couldn't help but to tilt her head as the Moosegoose's posture rapidly changed. From strong to confident, then suddenly back to nervous and crouching. Her ears twitched, and she asked
