ORIGIN

A couple of new spells... she could feel them inside of her. Buzzing around in her head like a patch of insects. It was late at night, she could tell because the lights had dimmed and she felt tired. However, she was awake and she wanted to practice these spells before she went to sleep. How long it would take she didn't know but she would stay awake until she could practice her new spells to perfection. So, she wandered over to the warrens to begin. There were a couple of rabbits here she'd seen them before. They came above ground to eat and socialize but disappeared whenever a predator got near. As they should.

However, Makyna wanted to see if she could entice one out of its hole. So she took a position on top of a rock, wrapped her tail around herself and opened her mouth. She tapped into her magicka and began to concentrate, thinking on the sounds that the rabbits made. After a moment when she was certain that she had the right sound in her mind's ear. She began to make voices but not noises she normally made. These were noises hwere magically produced to alter the air and produce specific sounds.

Success! The magic inside of her blossomed and allowed her to produce a sound reminiscent of a rabbit. Actually, it wasn't just reminiscent it was exactly like a rabbit! If she wasn't so sure that it was she who was making the sounds Makyna might have been confused herself. After a while of making her rabbit chatter one of the rabbits came out of one of the burrows and looked around. It sat up on its haunches and glanced around, surprised that there were no more bunnies about. Makyna thought about pouncing on it but decided against it. She wasn't hungry and eating the rabbit would just be a waste. If she killed something without really being hungry she'd feel like an evil feline or someone who just killed things for pleasure. That was no good.

Instead she decided use one of her lower level spells to scare it back into the hole in case something else was out and about and wanting to get a taste of bunny. She looked at one of the stones nearby and focused on it. Then again she tapped into her magic and focused on the stone. Wanting to get it to shift and move towards the rabbit to scare it back into its hole.

The stone clattered closer to the rabbit and with a stamp of its foot and a flash of its white tail the bunny disappeared back into its hole. Perfect! It seemed as if she wasn't getting rusty with her spells but now she wanted to try something different. She knew there was another spell she could try... Well, two but this new one was something she'd heard about and wanted to see for herself. The lioness leaped from the stone she was sitting on and walked over to the little one she'd bounced next to the rabbit. The lioness' blue eyes locked onto it as she went into a crouch next to it.

Her eyes never lost focus and neither did her mind as she delved into it and pulled upon her magicka for hopefully the last time that day. Perhaps she would perform this spell right the first time and perhaps she wouldn't, who knew? In any case the lioness focused and stared. In her mind she imagined the little crystal she had found the other day in Cetus. It was about the same size as this rock here so perhaps she could translocate it her instead of the rock.

Almost. She could she the stone fade out of existence and then become replaced with the shining crystal. However, the crystal was embedded partly in the ground. Annoyed that she hadn't done the spell perfectly the lioness set to work with digging it out. Her claws unsheathed as she dug them into the earth and easily pulled the crystal out and delicately with her teeth set it down on the ground in front of her. She took one look at it to make sure that being thrust into the ground hadn't marred it. Fortunately the only thing wrong was that it was a little bit dirty.

She crouched down before it again as she focused her magic upon it. The lioness tapped into the ethereal substance that allowed her to perform spells with a general ease. Her tail flicked behind her while her tongue poked out of the side of her mouth. A telltale sign that she was intensely concentrating on her task. Hopefully with how much she was focusing she would be able to do the spell correctly rather than embed the stone partly into the dirt. So, she focused on an image of the stone sitting in her den and began to try and attempt the spell once more to execute it perfectly this time around.

Success! The crystal before her was replaced by the stone. This time nothing was partially embedded in the ground, there wasn't a lazy fade from existence or anything! It was almost instantaneous at which the two things switched with each other and the rate at which the stone was returned to the warrens. The lioness grinned happily at her success and couldn't help but let out a small cheer. She had done it! She'd done her new spells! With her pride came a new found feeling. Something she wasn't quite familiar with but that she welcomed.

She felt as if she had a new hold on her spells. As if she understood them better!

The lioness rose from her crouched position. Her tail swayed behind her happily as she strutted back towards her den. Just wait until she told Leon! Oh wait... Leon was still gone. Ever since that little incident at Truth or Dare he hadn't come back. The lioness felt worry at the pit of her stomach but she tried to push it away. He was a Scout. He would come back... He always came back, right? The lioness shook her head. Wanting to believe that the anger of his would dissipate and that he would come back like always...
