ORIGIN

The little pup continued to dream even as the ground shook with the foot steps of the fluffy monster. Her skin didn't even flicker once as he approached, remaining pink and fleshy. Clearly her body needed the rest and her mind was more than happy to comply. Dreams continued to dance in her mind, making her eyelids flutter and flicker. Little puffs of excited air escaped her and her front talons opened and closed as she dreamed. It wasn't until something warm pressed against her furless, bony back that her legs ceased their twitching. A happy sigh escaped her as she dreamed on.

After a while of napping, the wind changed direction. Now it blew the sweet scent of fruit right into her grey nose. It twitched. Once, twice, three times before he eyes opened just a crack. Her nose moved more readily now, her whole head bobbing as she sleepy stretched her neck to reach the fruit. The pup could not remember much from before her name, her mind was a blur that seemed only interested in the fruit.

She continued to army crawl until her back legs stretched out behind her like frog legs. Her small mouth opened and clamped down on the soft fruit. The pup had first picked the one that was already split open. Although she could not taste how sweet the fruit was, the scent was flavor enough.

It took some effort, but she was able to rip away at the fruits flesh. Pollux had to toss her head back, gobbling it down much like bird of prey would eat a piece of meat. After half of the fruit had been, her mind became clear and she remembered where this fruit most likely had come from. The pup glanced over her shoulder to see the big blue gembound. Her first instinct was to bolt, but she fought that urge. He had brought her food. Even while she had slept, he made no attempt to eat her. He deserved thanks...

The little hybrid crept over, lower her body submissively. She stretched her neck and pressed her nose to the side of his face. Thank you The thought passed quickly through her mind before she scampered backwards again.

@Zeke

From how content they seem, Zeke concludes how yeah, be best to let them nap for a bit more as he stared sideways at their smaller form with a fond smile if it was a nightmare they end up having he will try to shake them awake gently. Seem to be having some sweet dreams though, so Zeke doesn't need to right now, and hopefully, he won't have to anytime either. Sides, Zeke was about to take a nap himself, drowsiness caught up to him in a second when his head touched the ground when the dragon returned. Initially, he did so to serve as a pillow for his new bud here, but, with Zeke's going out to get fruit for his pal here, this lazy one is already getting tired, and he was bout half asleep now.

Still, Zeke was now wide awake again as he shifted his head a lil, the kid seems to be awake now, and Zeke was bout to happily give some greetings to them and be a giver for great news on how he has successfully brought food back for them to have. But to Zeke's confusion and amusement, they crawled towards this fruit he has gifted them in such a funny way.

He was initially worried on an idea like maybes they did ended up gotten harmed by something while he was away with how they were moving about since this kid won't stand up, but he dunno. They seem fine, only shifting a bit weirdly to him; nothing else which would show they are hurt, maybes they're only half-asleep like he is, but he couldn't help but worry a lil.

Despite his worries, Zeke is so happy how they are eating this fruit he has given them no prob; he was kinda considering whether he should've peeled them first. They seem to be eating this unpeeled fruit fine, though it seems they did need to make some extra effort to eat this fruit, but his bud appears OK and is satisfied, maybes they weren't as physically weak as he perceived them to be. Although with how his fluffy neck, pressed against their back, he could feel their spine, which brought a cold shudder down his on how delicate they still do seem to him, it made his head twitch a lil to get a lil closer to them, a protective reflex sorta.

Still concerned for them as he is, when they turned round and found him he gave them a gentle smile no signs showing his worries.

What he didn't expect was to get a kinda nuzzle from them which made his smile widen with more merriment, if he were a cat he would've purred. Zeke was bout to give them a nuzzle back but they got back as quickly as they gave him this sign of affection, seems they still have some nervous tendencies bout interacting with him, which is fine with Zeke, he's just happy they were willing to try socialising with him despite being tense bout doing so. He'll work his best as well; he'll continue to respect their boundaries now and even in the future too whether they choose to befriend him or not regardless.

"Heh, were those treats good kid?" he asked them with a kind smile, his voice soft and his deep voice was a lil higher pitched, remaining put where he was laying with how they scampered back, so it mighta be best to keep still for a bit. Which is fine with Zeke, while trying everything he can, to not move a muscle is tiring. Again with this Zeke believes, long as he doesn't make instant, large movements, remain on this level to avoid towering over them and keep relaxing he'd say he'll be fine in ensuring he doesn't scare them again, in fact, they are more than welcome to use him as a pillow again too.

@Pollux

Pollux stared at him intensely with her pale blue eyes as they spoke. His teeth didn't seem so scary anymore when he spoke. In fact, he didn't seem scary at all. The little pup took a deep breath and padded back over to him. He brought her food! I should be more thankful, she thought. Her little nose twitched as she swallowed her nervous tendencies and rub her face against his again. The action left a line a drool on his face.

She pulled away and looked at him for a moment. As she did, a breeze ran through the trench that she resided in, chilling her small body. Her body shook with as the breeze ruffled her feathers. That was a definite downside of being able to blend into her surroundings, she had to be furless. This giant gembound however, was not.

The pup crept slowly past his face and towards his shoulder. Despite her forced bravery, her instinct was to be cautious. She stuck her nose into his fur and gave it a few sniffs, though her eyes were still turned towards his face. Any sudden movements and she might find herself scampering back to where she came from.

After a thorough sniff, she used her back legs to stand upright temporarily before resting her bird like talons in his thick fur. Her claws closed on a tuft of it and gave it a little pull. Oh yes this is nice nice fur. Warm fur. Pollux bent her back legs once more and gave a little hop, using her front legs to grip on to his fur and propel her upwards on to his back. If I stay up here, he will have to roll to eat me and I will know when he does that! Not that he would eat me... She snorted at her thought.

Once she had climbed up the mountain of fur, the pup did several circles in an attempt to get comfortable before settling down with a sigh. Pollux was small enough to sink in to his fur to the point that the chilly winds could not reach her. Warmth engulfed her and her body immediately relaxed. Anyone that feels this nice to sleep on can't be evil... With that content thought, her talons began a movement much to that of a kneading cat and her skin changed from its fleshy pink to the same blue that matched the dragons fur. Her long, prehensile tail stretched to reach and curl around one of his horns. It changed color in respect to the color of fur it passed over.

Another sigh pushed its way from her nose and her eyes closed. I think I like this thing...

Zeke kinda paused as he noted this kid's face with staring at him, it kinda got him a lil concerned for them, such as if he ended up scaring them again or something. He was bout to ask them if something was on their mind or something, but as this kid got closer to Zeke, he remained patient and silent as he watched his lil bud with attentive eyes. He was also kinda bout to ask if there's something on his face but whaddya know he's getting a nuzzle again and this time he's sure to give them one too with his cheek with a pleased chuckle.

"Awwww, it's no biggie lil bud, glad you liked them~!" he kept nuzzling them till they stopped their nuzzling, giving them a kind smile still. Zeke hasn't quite rook note on how cold it is getting only how a feathery touch was ruffling his fur a lil which was kinda refreshing for him as he closed his eyes for a sec, relaxing more from this gentle breeze. When Zeke opened his eyes again was when he took note how they were shivering, and it doesn't appear to be a tremble filled with fear. They seem a lil cold to Zeke, they need to be warmed up or something, but still, he doubts holding them will work as they maybes will not be comfortable with something like Zeke holding them. Cause they can use him as a pillow again, but he kinda was used as a pillow for them while they were asleep; would they use him as a pillow willingly? Maybes he should ask-...

Huh? What are they doing...? He didn't shift his head, but he can kinda take note how they are getting a few whiffs from his fur, he dunno what they are doing, but he makes no move to stop them. Eyes are as attentive as they can be, which maybes is not much since he hasn't turned his head but he can kinda get an idea what's happening, but he's confused by it.

K, they're moving a lil again, so Zeke is kinda having an issue with not being aware at all as to what they are doing right now, though there is some kinda pressure on his fur right now. Next thing though, Zeke tensed for a sec when something jumped onto his back till his half-asleep brain eventually managed to process his little buddy has climbed onto his back.

"Hmm... Where are you going bud...?" he got compelled to ask; are they tryna leave by climbing on his back and jump off from his other side? A thought like it did sadden Zeke internally, but if it is so Zeke will not give chase, he'll be sad, but chasing isn't gonna help.

Zeke got a sensation on something crawling bout on his back, not moving to jump off though, more like they are tryna explore round his back, which he dunno is too special for something like exploration. Though, he supposes, for his lil bud, for them his backside will be like a small field filled with tall, oddly coloured fur which sways about like how grass and wheat does when hit by a breeze. Next thing though they settled and their form seems have tucked themselves in on a comfy spot in his fur, basically melting on his back as he could tell they are so relaxed righta now. Probs safely buried in his coat now, protecting them from this cold wind, it made Zeke glad they have enough trust in him to willingly use him as a pillow to sleep on, a warm smile came to him when it seems for sure they didn't intend to run off. He laid his head down, planning to take a nap himself, he'll generally keep still while napping, especially since the dragon is aware his lil bud is right there on his back, he wouldn't want to disturb them when they're probs so cosy right now.

He got more relaxed as his fur got kinda kneaded, once again if he were a feline Zeke would've purred from this, stead the dragon got comfy and closed his eyes, not daring to move much as he does and soon his breathing got even joining his lil bud in a nice cosy nap.
