Petals had grown. That much was obvious. He had also been, perhaps, missing in action for quite a long time. He couldn't really remember what had happened in the cycles past.

No matter. He was here now. And he was fully grown. He looked around himself now, at all the plant life he had come to love. He wanted to do something with it all. Something to show how much he loved the beautiful flowers, and something he could do to spread his love.

With a look at the flowers and stems around him, an idea began to slowly form in his mind.
It would take some time before he would be able to make what he wanted. And he wasn't sure he'd be able to. But to start...He needed some plants. He'd practiced some magic while away, and hoped it would work now.

He easily found some seeds and then placed his hands on them, focusing on the seeds as he tried to draw out his magic.
Nothing happened.

No matter. He'd just try again. He'd do it as long as he needed to. With that thought in mind, he held his hands out and tried again. Hopefully it would work this time - this was only the start of what he had planned.
Finally, something. Little plants began to sprout from the seeds. They moved up, up, and Petals smiled. He could work with this now. Hands still over the seeds-turned-plants, he tried to summon his magic again. This was a new spell, though he wasn't sure how he knew he got it. He just knew that something different would happen.
Or perhaps not.

A moment passed, and the small plants barely quivered. He'd just try again. After all, spells didn't always work. That must have been what happened now - the spell just failed. So, with his hands still splayed over the plants, he closed his eyes and tried once more, willing for it to work. He still had much to do!
Aha! Finally! The plants began to grow, further and further, until flowers bloomed. Beautiful, beautiful flowers. All different shapes and sizes. A smile came to his face. Now he could truly start.

Unfortunately, he didn't have as many flowers as he wanted. Hopefully, he could still do what he planned. Which...now he had to fully think out. He wanted to string the flowers together, making something out of them that he hoped could be placed on his head. A little...flower crown. But how to go about making it? He pulled the flowers, stems included, and thought about it.
Petals didn't have to think very long. It just seemed to come to him, and rather quickly. His hands were almost a blur as he pulled at the flowers and wove the stems together, masterfully making a flower crown as if he'd made them all his life.

It wasn't long before he made a flower crown that seemed it would fit his head perfectly. It was made of multiple different kinds of flowers with multiple colors. His smile broadened at the sight of it. That had been a lot easier than he had been expecting. The sight filled him with a lot of joy, and he wanted to put it on his head already.

But first, there was something he still had to do. He did not want his flower crown to wilt. Surely, he could use some of his magic to prevent that from happening. Preserve it, perhaps. He lowered the flower crown carefully and set his hand upon it.
Easily, magic flowed through him and into the crown. The flower crown didn't seem to change much, but he knew it wouldn't wilt. With a grin, he picked it up and placed it on his head. He bounded over to a nearby stream and admired his reflection. He made sure the crown didn't fall into the water.

He looked back at the remaining flowers. There wasn't much, but he'd hate for them to go to waste. If only there was somewhere he could put them, somewhere he could bring with him...
Petals looked around but couldn't really find anything. Perhaps there just wasn't something near the stream. No matter - he'll just look somewhere else. He wandered off a bit, still making sure the flowers were in sight, and looked there. Surely there had to be something that he could use. And if not, maybe he could make one. But he hoped that wouldn't end up being the case. Making a flower crown was much different than making something to store flowers in.
A careful sweep of the area, and...there! Nestled among some stems lay a brown satchel that seemed as though it would fit perfectly. He ran towards it and picked it up, seeing that it did, in fact, fit perfectly. For a moment he pondered how such a thing could happen to be here right when he needed it, but didn't think too hard about it. After all, now he had somewhere to put his flowers!

He put the satchel on and returned to his flowers. It was a pretty small collection, he realized with a frown. He'll have to grow some more flowers! He got excited at that. Growing flowers was surely going to be one of his favorite things.
