ORIGIN - I understand

Quietly he padded into Cetus, still mesmerized by the prospect of new things to explore. He wondered to himself how Mystro had transferred his thoughts to Felkrn, he wanted to try that! Did trees think? Uhh... Maybe, he padded towards a nearby tree. Putting his head up to it, ear flopping onto hard tree bark.

Felkrn squinted hard, trying his hardest to pry thoughts from it. He was rather vulnerable right now, and silly looking. But he didn't truly care, all he wanted to do was try to do what the fox had done.

Instantly visions came to his head, they were hard to figure out however. Something brown with big grey feet fleeing from some grey blob? He heard things that he could not understand, then the boy pulled back. Confusion expression on his face, he did not understand what he had seen.

He felt some connection with the grey blob, unlike the brown creature it was bulky with big paws. A gorgeous gem of Ruby on its shoulder, was.. He supposed to do that? To hunt creatures? His stomach grumbled, Felkrn frowned. He was rather hungry, but he wasn't in the mood for a chase. Perhaps other foods would work..

He padded away from the tree, still confused from the vision it had given him. His eyes scanned the area for another tree, perhaps.. One with fruits on it, something that he could eat off of. His stomach growled angrily, Felkrn frowned. Ears pinning against his head.

He trekked through the forest, searching eagerly for a tree that showed signs of anything fruity. Felkrn swayed his tail behind him, gem on his forehead shining in the light that filtered in through the forest canopy above him.

There! A tree with big red fruit, he quietly padded towards it. Eyes staring up at the tree, he barked at the tree. Ordering it to release its fruit right now!! But the tree didn't do anything, it was mockingly quiet. Felkrn growled, barking at again at the tree. But it still didn't do anything!! Grr, USELESS TREE!

The stag raised her head from where she grazed, conical ears twitching. What had that been? It sounded like a young Gembound, all high pitches and squeaked notes.

So she stood tall, and began to follow the sound. Before long, she came across a tree, under which a young pup stood, barking loudly.

What was it doing?

As she approached, head high and steps deliberate, flowers bloomed in her footprints. "Hello, little one," she called with a bow of her head, "What are you doing?"

Felkrn glared at the tree, it still did not move an inch. No fruit fell, and Felkrn was still hungry. He grumbled, ears perking up as a voice sounded from behind him.

Felkrn turned around slowly, eyes full of curiosity. True to the nature of a young puppy, everything interested him. The blob looked exactly like this creature! Brown fur, big hornies on its head. It even had the grey feet! But Felkrn didn't chase it like the grey thing did, instead he smiled.

The creature spoke to him, Felkrn dipped his head. Hi he murmured, tail swaying. Want fruit, tree no give he explained, turning back to the tree. Barking at it to show the Deer exactly what he meant, the tree stayed still. Agitating the young Dingo even further, why wouldn't it give him the fruit? Wait.. He stopped barking, sudden idea coming into his head of what he could do. Felkrn padded forwards, whacking the tree with his paw.

That should do it! But unfortunately for him, it hurt the pad of Felkrn more than it hurt the tree. Ow.. he murmured, making a mental note to himself that not all trees were very kind.

The stag looked down at the pup, head high, eyes observant. It was clearly very young, and not yet practiced in the ways of the cave. But, no matter. She was always willing to teach a youngling.

"I'm afraid that you won't feel full from meat, pup." she hummed, eying the tree thoughtfully. "Although you are welcome to try. You look to be a carnivore, by your sharp meat, thus you will need to eat meat."

and then, she couldn't help but to chuckle. "The tree won't give you fruit, you will have to take it." she watched as the pup whacked the tree, shaking her head.

Backing up, she lowered her head and charged at the tree. It rattled when she slammed into it, dropping a fair amount of fruit on the ground. "Here, try these."

Felkrn backed away slowly from the tree, huffing in anger. Why did it not give him fruit? It was so mean!

The Deer spoke softly to him, often mentioning the word meat. The word Carnivore was also apparent, he did not know the meaning of either words. But they intrigued him greatly, then the Deer laughed at him. Felkrn frowned, it wasn't funny! The tree was being mean to him!

But after the Deer laughed, they explained very gently to the confused Dingo that tree doesn't just GIVE fruit. That he would have to forcefully take the fruit from it, he cocked his head. Watching the Deer charge at the tree, they slammed hard into it. Felkrn's mouth opening in awe, Woah! he gasped. Thanks.. the young Dingo murmured.

He padded forwards to the fruits, head bending down and biting at one apple. Juice spilled from where he bit it, the fruit was rather sweet. Tasting very pleasant, yum. He chewed his piece, gulping it down rather quick. The Dingo would continue eating, until he hit a seed. Gah! What was that? He swallowed it down, confused look on his face.

He turned to the Deer, noticing it wasn't eating any fruit. Felkrn smiled, tail waving as if to offer it some. After all, the Deer HAD knocked the fruit down for him. Which Felkrn really appreciated. Felkrn he stated his name, Who you? the Dingo would ask. Tongue curling around inky black lips, getting off the rest of the apples' juices. Eyes lit up with happiness, everything was so interesting! He wanted to learn everything about all the things in this land.

Artume stood tall, proud to see the awe on the dog's face. She backed up from the tree, observing as the dingo approached the fruit.

"I must warn you, it would be a bad idea to use your head as I do. I have my antlers to protect my head, but you do not. Perhaps there are other ways you can knock them down. Or, perhaps, do you think you could climb the tree?"

She smiled as Felkrn, although she didn't yet know his name, began to eat the fruits. "Trees are not Gembounds, young one. They do not speak, or think, as we do. You cannot convince them to give you their fruits, you must get them yourself." she explained.

The dog seemed to offer her some of the fruits, and so she stepped forward, gracefully lowering her head to bite into the fleshy fruit. "I am Artume, and who are you?"
