ORIGIN

All was quiet in Orion. The stars of Orion shined silently upon the cave, bathing the world in an array of stellar beauty.

Then, suddenly, there was a distant crack, loud enough to echo through at least part of Orion in the silence. If one followed the sound, they would find that the source came from one smooth, egg-like chrysalis, perched neatly upon the stone ground. It was a tiny little thing, hardly worthy of the cycle that had been invested into growing it- but it was there, and it was hatching.

Almost all at once, the chrysalis shattered, letting a small gecko crawl through its remains. He looked silently out upon the world for a moment, surveying what things were. It stood there, motionless, apparently too focused on comprehending the world to do anything else.

Then, it was like he sprung to life- running to the nearest wall and scaling it like it was nothing, before perching upon it and looking around for something interesting, before running to that and repeating. It was like the gecko was suddenly filled with boundless energy, and he was wanting to spend it all.

Not far from that chrysalis was another. Inside was true horror. What true horror could it be? Pig. Oh, no. Pig wasn’t a pig Pig was the name of a Pygmy Goat. It was time Pig broke out of his chrysalis. He stretched and he pushed until he broke out and tumbled to the floor. Slowly, Pig got himself up and looked around. Upon seeing Wigglytoes, a potential new friend, a smile came on his face. He ran quickly, jumping in the air with glee and landed in front of him then spun around a few times until he finally stopped, but he didn’t pause completely. He would bang his feet and do tiny little hops as he spoke.

“HELLO! I am PIG! Who are YOU!!”

He jumped in the air again and let out a gleeful laugh. It was clear that Pig was just full of energy.

@Wigglytoes

At the sound of someone else’s voice, Wigglytoes whipped around from his current perch on yet another ruined wall, looking over at the newcomer.

His words came easily, spilling out of his mouth with as much joy as anything else he had been doing.

“Hello! I-“ he stopped for a moment, deciding on what to introduce himself as. He looked down, spotting his feet. Yes, Wigglytoes! That was good name! Best name! “-I Wigglytoes!”

He bounced once, twice on top of his wall, before making a great big leap over to Pig, attempting to land on top of him. Why? Because fun!

Wigglytoes jumped, soaring through the air as majestically as a newborn Crested Gecko could, traveling in a perfect parabola.. and landing bellyfirst on the ground. He rolled over onto his back, looking up at the stars- pretty stars! Want see close!- before getting distracted by the newcomer. He still had to climb it!

He easily scaled the fellow friend, his feet letting him crawl up the goat easily. He perched majestically on Pig’s head. “I am now top of friend! Hey, friend, can you see star? Many star up high, can you see? I like star, just like I like you! You good friend, Pig!”

Pig watched Wigglytoes as he leaped, but he just fell flat on his face. He watched him some more, and when Wigglytoes was on him, he gave a little giggle. He looked up to see the star like quartz. Then his eyes were directed to the ancient strutures. He had the attention span of a fish. He giggled again and jumped and spun around some more.

"Wigglytoes, Wigglytoes, I like that name Wigglytoes. Do you have a Wigglytail too?"

He stopped bouncing around and wiggled his own tail a little before looking at Wigglytoes with a big smile. With all of his bouncing and spinning around, Wigglytoes fell off him.

The little gecko shrieked with laughter as he perched ‘majestically’ atop Pig’s head, being flung up and down as the friend below him leapt and spun about.

Before long, he was flung off his new friend’s head, and landed upon the floor once again, belly-up. That was okay! Being on the floor was just as good as being on a friend! He rolled over, trying to look behind him to see if he had a Wiggly tail, too. But, alas, his effort was for nothing- the tail flicked away before he could even catch a glimpse!

Wigglytoes spun around the other way, trying to catch the tail- but the tail was faster! It changed direction, flicking him in the face! He turned, again- he had to answer Pig’s question, he simply had to!

Then, abruptly, all at once, he stopped, all the energy draining out of him like water through a sieve. He was so tired- so, so tired. It was okay if he took a nap here, right? Friend would still be here after sleep, right? Besides, he was so, so tired.. so tired. So..
