Asimona flinched as the golem's strike came closer and she shut her eyes, waiting for the pain to hit her. But nothing happened. In fact, a loud creaking sound replaced whatever had been before. After a few seconds, she opened her eyes and looked up to see the golem completely immobile. A second later in crumbled. She stepped back as the rocks collapsed around her and watched the monkey as it wordlessly shifted through the pile.
She didn't really know what had just happened but the threat was gone. She glanced back at the creature in the chrysalis and frowned. She couldn't leave it here. What if another golem attacked? What if he needed help when he came out? What if he never came out? But she had her own responsiblities back at her cave. Her tail flicked as she deliberated before making the decision to bring it with her.
She stood up, shaking off the bits of mud that were still clinging to her and reared on her hind legs. She wrapped her arms around the chrysalis and flapped her wings to begin flying. She cringed at the pain in her chest but she tried to ignore it. The flight wasn't going to be too bad.
Once she was of a decent height, she turned and flew towards the exit, taking the chrysalis back to Pisces.
