The dumb dumb slipped away! How could it do that that fast! It was definitely cheating somehow! The dirty mongrel was a cheater in drabby feathers! Fully insulted, the bird prince squawked as the other took off. Fine then, he thought, take off! The bird used this time to prepare for another attack, hunkering down, fluffing his feathers, and tucking his beak with his feet splayed for balance. The other bird didn't attack from above, however. Oh no, he landed and spread his massive- compared to Gertrude's- wings and blew a mighty gale directly at him. the bird struggled to stay upright. He fought and fought, but, being as little as he was, he failed, rolling back like a tumbleweed on a windy day. Each time the bird landed he let out a startled chirp, though he tumbled softly and was protected due to his feathers. When he was finally able to stand again, he and the other bird were about four feet apart. He could see his target still, though the other bird seemed to be miles away. Gertrude was going to show him the true power of a prince.
