Naskital turned back, peering and blinking those big black eyes at Asimona, as if gently surprised. "Snow? --Oh. Err--"
Naskital peered up, blinking some more, his demeanor nonthreatening and a little confused. It seemed to be a running theme with the translucent blue creature.
"I suppose it's--just that time of year. It gets colder, you know--ahh--" And here he pointed skyward, or rather ceiling-ward, toward the piles of broken rubble that blocked the hole he'd created. "Up there. I'm sorry, I didn't--I don't know how far I've fallen," he added in soft apology. And then, a little more hopefully, yet worriedly at the same time, "The snow isn't a--an inconvenience for you, is it?"

Despite being 14 cycles old, Felina still enjoyed playing with her marble. That's what she was doing when it suddenly rolled around. She wasn't even touching it at that moment.
Then she heard a sound. She was trying to pinpoint where it came from. It seemed to come from everywhere at once!
By now, Felina knew that the source of her Majick was the very earth itself. From tiny pebbles to boulders several times larger than her. She also knew she was still learning how to use it.
The sound was followed by rumbling and trembling right under her paws! Tiny hairline fissures and larger cracks were forming! The terrible cacophony was even louder right above her head! Oh, no! Rocks were falling from the roof!
She couldn't have possibly cast a spell like that! She was sure of it! Then she got the surprise of her life: Tiny bits of white, fluffy looking things fell from the roof along with the rain of pebbles.
That convinced her. Sure, she could do stuff with rocks and the like. The "fluffies" (she decided to call them that) weren't her doing!
Felina just *had* to investigate. She ran in between the raining rocks and fluffies with the agility of most (not all) of her kind. She had to find out what was happening!

Naskital widened his eyes, a little, at Asimona's offering. He stepped over, delicately taking the hammer--as if in awe of this--and peered at her. "Ooh," he cooed, and black eyes wide. "I thought you were one of the workers! Thank you, I will try this." Down he bowed, and quickly turned, doing his best to test the hammer. He had to see how brittle the ice was--whether it would shatter on use, or not.
Clink. Clink. Soft and gentle taps were reassuring; he gave it a slightly sharper rap on the side of the sled, and--CRACK. The ice shattered. He sighed, softly, and turned back to Asimona with a shake of his head. "Ice is too brittle, I suppose, but thank you for trying."
Upon Felina's arrival, and question, he waved his translucent fingers gently in a greeting. "Oh, my beasts have escaped, and I need food for them, and tools, or I shall never know who to reward! I think the others have already begun to go to seek crystals, too, for my needs? If you can bring back any of my ptarmigan, or the white hares, or the caribou; or if you can bring back crystals, or tools, or food for my beasts, I would thank you greatly."
