Pride stared at his own side, but whatever it was that Amras was seeing, he didn't. It all looked the same, to him, but before he could voice his doubts, Amras' words jerked him from his thoughts. He whipped his head up, blinking at the gryphon, surprised at how offended he felt.
"...Reality? Amras, I wasn't hallucinating." His brow furrowed a little as he studied his friend.
Was he thinking I was imagining this whole damn thing..? At length he snorted, and pushed his thoughts aside. He felt the little one surging magic within him again, and tried to reach for it with his mind despite his misgivings--he knew he was too tired.
His reward was a crashing pain clanging through his head, and he stumbled, grimacing in deep pain. "It's trying to communicate. I'm too tired. Backfired," he explained in hissed words. Anger was forgotten; all he wanted was to go and sleep. But he had to talk to Envy first; he wanted to get this over with. "Thank you for seeing me, Amras, but I need to go. I've worn myself thin, and I've yet to report to Envy before I depart."
With that he turned to go, head low and ears sagging, gathering himself as best he could for one last task before he had free reign to rest.
