She was taking a little break from travelling to Cetus. Black Dog was somewhere else doing...something and she was going to take a drink from the river. It was clear as crystal and it moved really really fast! She padded up to the side and looked over the edge. If she fell in she'd be swept away. And she'd be cold. She didn't want to be cold. Or wet. Neither of those sounded like fun. She raised a paw and dabbed experimentally at the water. A few splashes sprayed on her leg and she jumped back, shaking the water droplets off of her paw. She had to stop being scared.
She stepped up again and leaned over, experimentally lapping at the water. She found that it felt a lot better on her tongue then on her paw so she took long, deep droughts, savoring the delicious, cool flavor of the river. Her whiskers kept getting wet, though, something that quite annoyed her so when she stood up again, satisfied, she began cleaning her whiskers off.
Once they were dry she thought that she might as well give herself a good cleaning so she sat beside the crystal river, licking her paws and turning to clean her back, giving herself a nice, relaxing bath.
The cave was big and open and pretty, and he wanted to see it all!
He had been exploring for a while now, running all around and under all the rocks. He was in the room of pretty shiny things for a bit, but then he found a small, long room with a nest with lots of big creatures, lots and lots and lots of them, and they looked distracted, so he ran past them, and then he had exited the tunnel and found himself here!
Here was beautiful. There was a big, pretty shiny thing over there that was kinda scary for a reason he didn't know, and there was a huge, loud river over there!
He ran over to the river, looking in--but being careful not to get too close to the edge, lest he fall in. That would be bad!
In his excitement, he had failed to notice the cat next to the river.

As she bathed, Wilder heard the tiniest little scuttling. Her ears perked and she paused, looking over at the place where she heard the noise. A little something was perched at the edge of the river not far away from her. Curious, she put her paw back on the ground and crept towards it. She was slow but not threatening. She didn't want to scare it, no! That would be bad!
Once she got close, she let out a meow of greeting.
It was a large furbeast, with eyes of pink and a gemstone on their cheek.
And it was speaking. Speaking meant thinking. And thinking meant... friend.
Friend! Good friend! Best friend!!
"You are large!" he responded, moving closer to the furbeast. "I Wigglytoes! What you?"
@Wilder
Really? She was large? She had no idea she was so big! Maybe because Black Dog was really really big and she was just regular big. She didn't really have anyone else to compare to so she just stuck with the fact that she was normal-sized.
@Wigglytoes
The gecko thought for one moment, two--and then, suddenly, moved towards Wilder, moving up her leg, over her body, and onto her head, where he peered down at her eyes.
"Yes!" said Wigglytoes. "You have bright eye! Very bright!"
He noticed something else, though. There, on her cheek.. what was that? He turned his head, moving over a bit to investigate it, before sticking out a paw to touch it. It was hard and rocky, but at the same time, smoother than the normal cave rocks.
"You have stone on cheek!" he exclaimed, fascinated by this discovery.
@Wilder
Wilder wasn't really expecting Wigglytoes to walk right onto her body but she didn't resist. She didn't really mind it. Besides, he was just trying to get a closer look!
She felt a tapping at her gem and her whiskers twitched unconsciously. She remembered the little spikes on Wigglytoes' back and she raised her paw gently and tapped right back. They were spiky, though, and hurt her pad so she stopped with a tiny hiss of pain and shook out her paw.
