It had been a day since Kavish had found the stones. They now laid safely in the pelt of a large cave rat in one of the shelves Kavish had made in his den. Now it was time to venture out into the world again. It had been easy to leave Canis and go into the hauntingly empty Tunnel K, but now that the black canine stood at the entrance to Orion, the place where he had once tried to start his reign, the place where he met the vile snake Chaos who made him sick and insulted him. And involunatry growl emitted from the small pomeranian's throat, but he cut it off. The eyes might not know where he was yet, as long as he was quiet.
The thought of leaving, truly leaving Canis for the first time, it felt wrong to Kavish. He felt as if he was betraying his home, and he was scared of Orion. Not only had he met Chaos there, but he also was stuck with the silver eyes and the monster cat in the void after coming here. It held many memories, most of them not good. So he hesitated at the entrance, scared to enter.
He slept. He hunted. He ate. He fought.
He thrived.
His various trophies were scattered throughout his den, only the bones left of the Dog and the Aardwolf. They had been removed from their pyres - excepting the dog's skull, which kept an ever vigilant watch. The rest of the bobes were strewn out, carefully laid into positions they might have adopted in life.
A headless Aardwolf skeleton sitting, propped up by rocks and sticks. A headless dog, laying as though it might have once had its head on his paws. Those were the gargoyles that guarded his door.
And when the dog padded passed, he followed. Trailed them silently, careful to keep his distance, until they came to a standstill in front of the entrance to Orion, whereupon he, too, came a stop.
The small canine had no idea he was being followed. His ears were used to the silence, which made him sensitive to sound. However, the big cat that stalked him was far too quiet to be heard. That was why he jumped when he heard the tiger's voice. Kavish quickly composed himself and turned around to answer him.
@Bahamut
The tiger observed the little dog, smirking when it jumped. His tongue slowly licked his lips - the dog was bite-sized, its skull would make a good marker for his den. No one would miss such a skittish little thing, surely?
But he was a cat, and cats played with their prey, after all. He had all the time in the world, more than the dog had, clearly.
He rumbled thoughtfully. This cat, it sounded interesting. Powerful, and he rather liked power.
@Kavish
At first Kavish was unsure of how to respond. On one paw, this was indeed a cat, and the only other feline he had met had cursed him with the silver eyes and the insanity thatrooted itself in his mind. On the other paw, he needed to build his empire. What better way to do so than to make an ally of a large beast such as this cat?
