Wilder took a step back, worried that she'd offended Indelia. But she'd only shown her affection! Isn't that what cats did? She didn't like the sound of the growl that came from her friend and her ears pulled back just slightly.
Her happiness dropped further when Indelia admitted that they weren't just friends yet. She opened her mouth to speak but then clamped it shut and looked away rather shamefully.
But her next works seemed to cheer the cat right up. Of course, Indelia would know how to be a good friend! She could teach her how to do that! Just like how Black taught her other things, oh that's so fun! She purred happily and her tail shot up.
Indelia didn't like seeing the cat looking so down, but it didn't last long as Wilder quickly brightened up upon hearing she would teach her. She kept her dazzling smile, tail flicking slightly. She observed her for a moment, trying to figure out how to go about this. To be honest, she wasn't entirely sure what all a friend did. She'd never really had any that she would consider a friend. Not yet, at least. But she'd do her best.
@Wilder
Wilder forced herself to sit down and listened raptly, her ears held straight in the air. She wanted to learn everything and be the best friend she could be! She wanted to make everyone happy, yes she did! She seemed to lean in a bit as she listened.
She tilted her head.
The second made a little more sense to her but still she didn't seem to agree.
Indelia was grateful that Wilder at least listened, even if she didn't quite understand it all or why something was to be done a certain way. She let out a brief sigh.
As Wilder booped her nose, her eyes narrowed, though she couldn't stop a small smile and a light chuckle. Wilder clearly didn't care about her own actions...but hey, the mountain cat couldn't fix everything!
@Wilder
Wilder wiggled impatiently, no longer able to keep herself contained.
But she did her best to understand the touching thing. It was an alien concept to her but she could understand if others had different feelings. However, she knew that she would probably forget about it later. She tended to forget things she didn't care too much about.
She smiled widely when Indelia started to laugh as well and her tail whipped around with excitement. She hopped a few times, spinning around and generally losing control, laughing as well.
Indelia scowled slightly. What an impatient cat!
As she spoke again, the mountain cat nodded.
As Wilder insisted upon her playing with them, she hesitated slightly, before deciding she may as well. She was bored, after all. And maybe if she played with the black cat a bit, she'd be more likely to sit down and listen.
She'd also never really played with anyone, as she spent most of her growing cycles alone and only occasionally coming across others. So she was quite excited at the prospect of playing with someone else.
@Wilder
Wilder stopped bouncing for a moment and stood in front of Indelia, trying to think of a fun game to play. She didn't know any games, though! She'd never really played with anyone! But...maybe she could make her own game!
She whipped around and stared at a location far off. A single wisp, a little dull, flared into existence about half a mile away. She backed up so that she was standing next to Indelia, her body wiggling with excitement.
She crouched, ready to leap off at any second.
Indelia blinked as a little bit of light appeared a distance away. She glanced at Wilder, wondering how the tiny black cat had done that. But even as she wondered, she didn't get a chance to ask, as it wasn't long before the cat was beside her and explaining to her the objective of whatever game they were going to be playing.
A race, then? To the light?
As soon as she was done, Indelia leaped...only for her paw to give out on her and for her to trip over it, flailing for some steps before falling flat on her face. She let out a groan and lifted her head, wincing.
@Wilder
Wilder crossed right through the wisp way ahead of Indelia and she meowed loudly with happiness. Magic started flowing through in her excitement, but as soon as she turned around and saw Indelia, who had tripped and fallen, she cut it off. And it ended up not quite working all the way and her hindquarters started to glow strangely while the rest of her body stayed the same. She hopped over to her friend and began sniffing her all over.
Indelia was embarrassed, and rightfully so. She quickly sat up and groomed her fur, as it had become messy when she fell. It wasn't long before Wilder came running back and began to sniff her all over. She scowled slightly and moved away.
