ORIGIN

Her telekinesis failed which Ky wasn't too upset about. One wrong move and she could permanently injure the misguided, aggressive rhinoceros. Her words still went in one ear and out the other as the rhino demanded she be freed. Ky didn't really have much of a choice at this point. Her magic was wearing thin and the constant pull of the heavy rhino was too much. Her gem flickered once before the glow faded and the spell was broken. The rhino would be free to do what she wanted.

Ky crouched, tail lashing, ears pinned, and legs ready to leap to the side should the gray creature charge her again. However, she didn't plan to let that happen. The telekinesis spell had broken but she had another thing up her sleeve, a spell she had tried once before with Aza'zel in their spar. With a loud hiss from between bared fangs she released another bubble of magic this one different from the last. Her goal was to scream loudly into the rhino's head, a scream that while not verbal would fill her head with a distracting headache inducing sound to distract her.

Her blue eyes were narrowed as she focused her spell on the rhino as well as her eyes on the movements of the creature. If she failed she would have to be prepared to leap out of the way or get trampled.

Attacks: Trying to use Telepathy to scream in Nem's head.
Defenses: Crouched, ready to dodge, ears pinned
Injuries: Minor bruise on left hip, burning left cheek and shoulder from heat

Her spell had been successful and the rhino appeared to be a bit disoriented. However, it didn't work quite like she planned. Instead of the rhino being frightened and unable to attack the scream had made her rush forward in a blind charge. The lioness was ready though, with her legs coiled to spring she awaited the rhino to come for her.

The rhino with smoldering steps came charging straight towards her and if she knew that if she was a second late or misjudged the leap that she would be trampled and it would be all over. The lioness just lay in wait, ears still pinned against her skull while her teeth were still parted. Her parted were more for taking in more air rather than any show of threat while her claws were unsheathed and ready for action should her plan work.

With knees bent she waited and when the rhino was upon her, horn prone and feet stomping, the lioness sprang straight towards her. The horn hit her in the leap leg in the leap while the heat seared her her coat but still she sprang. Her goal was to leap clear above the rhino and try to aim herself so that she would land upon her back. If she succeeded then she would hook her claws in to hold the beast to not be flung off. That would work right? Holding on for dear life? She'd be closer to the rhino's ears and away from the flailing horn and stomping feet.

Attacks: Leaping onto Nem's back.
Defenses: Ears pinned, mouth slightly open for more air, knees bent, claws out
Injuries: Minor bruise on left hip, burning left cheek and shoulder from heat, Belly fur seared from heat, scratch on left leg

She was hoping that the creature would stop and start bucking, run around in circles, anything! She did not expect the foolhardy thing to charge straight for the tornado! Fool! She would kill both of them! "Fool! You'll kill us both!" She cried out with some amount of anger in her voice. What was this rhino thinking?! Or was she thinking at all?

Makyna could feel the wind licking at her coat, threating to suck her and the rhino right up. She had to act fast! Makyna tightened her grip on the rhino, far past caring if the claws hurt as she didn't want to get sucked up. If she were killed because of this creature then she would never see her home again. Never see her friends.

Never see Leon.

That was enough to force a growl from her throat. She didn't want to hurt anyone but a line had to be drawn somewhere! The lioness gritted her teeth together and closed her eyes halfway because of concentration and halfway due to terror if she messed her spell up. Whelp, she had one shot to stop this crazy thing.

Defenses: Claws dug into Nem's back, eyes closed to concentrate
Injuries: Minor bruise on left hip, burning left cheek and shoulder from heat, Belly fur seared from heat, scratch on left leg

At first it seemed like her spell had failed when the rhino kept charinging forwards. The twister came closer and closer and her speed kept gaining. Fearfully the lioness began to scream, head turning to the side and eyes clenching shut. She could have just leaped off but she wanted to stop the rhino lest she kill herself. The creature was young yet and wanted to protect her territory. Though protecting the territory meant trying to destroy her it was something she could respect.

Just because she could respect it didn't mean that she couldn't find the blatant stupidity and aggression wrong.

Finally, the spell seemed to take hold and the rhino stopped just before they crashed through the twister. Ky could feel it tugging at her fur, threatening to suck her in anyway but she kept hold. Her clear blue eyes looked down at the rhino's own gaze, assessing the danger. "Get off'a, come on," That voice told her that it was over. She was free to go. Actually, she would probably be free to roam around more but after this encounter Ky wanted no more of this place. It would probably be a while before she came here again or rather came here alone again.

Makyna nodded her head, sheathing her claws and taking them out of the rhino's hide. "Alright, I'll get off and I'll leave too. I'm sorry it came down to a fight and I'm sorry for hurting you." Even though the rhino had clearly wanted to trample and kill her but Ky would be the bigger gem here. After a careful glance at the rhino's head she leaped off of the gray back and onto the ground a few feet away.

After it seemed like she would be left alone the lioness made sure she had all of her items then turned to leave. Her legs carried her away in a hasty trot so she could get far away from this place.
