Zevruu ("Splashy") on Archive of Our Own
Read the fanfic writings of our very own member, Zevruu!

From Wicked to Steven Universe, Zevruu had a bustling imagination for fanfics—and even songfics!

There are 23 works which you can read here: Works by Splashy and two "series" which can be found here: Splashy's Series.

Zevruu is an avid reader of fan fictions as well as writer, and would like to share a piece by one of their favorite fanfic authors, GamblingDementor:

Elphie, it's cold outside

"This was originally supposed to be the drabble fill of two prompts, "It won't stop snowing, I guess we’re stuck here until it lets up..." and "Cuddling by the fire." It got… quite a bit longer than you might expect from a drabble.

Anyways, two stuck up dorks alone in a house in the woods, a fire to keep warm, a lot of snow that keeps falling outside, what could possibly go wrong?"

About the Author:
Zevruu has been a part of our community for nearly as long as we have been one! Not only have they produced a ton of writing for their Origin characters, but also love to create fanfics, art and animation! Check out some of her animation work on YouTube!

Nightfall and Edgeland by Jake Halpern and Peter Kujawinski

I have to share about these books I just finished a bit ago. Nightfall and Edgeland by Jake Halpern and Peter Kujawinski. It's advertised as being a youth fiction/horror. I love the overall unsettling feeling they gave it. They also made a very alien and unrealistic world (daylight last 7 years and then 7 years of night in the first book. Not quite as long in Edgeland since they are closer to the equator, I think it's only a week of each) surprisingly real feeling. I enjoyed both, but I love Nightfall better as the 3 kids have their individual struggles as well as mutual struggle of survival. If you're looking to write something with an unsettling feel to it, this is a good suggestion. — Nightwolf

Assassin's Apprentice, Royal Assassin, and Assassin's Quest by Robin Hobb

These are just the first installments in a large world created by Robin Hobb that follow the main character, Fitz, as he adventures through life. The Farseer Trilogy is the beginning of a long and enchanting tale; if you like magic, animals, and suspense with your action, you would love these books! — CJ
