Kera blinked at Pride's eagerness to tell her about whosit in whatsit, looking around briefly before zoning her attention back into Pride. "Uh, got it," she eventually managed. "Which wall's it on? Not near the freaky cold-water, is it?"
The Eyes, Kera meant, of course. She'd been meaning to go back to Eridanus anyway-- if at least to make sure Rift wasn't dead --but seeing this Mercurius to learn how to eat plants was likely also a good idea.
And he was nice.
At least he wasn't a fucking murderer.
Kera tilted her head back in thought, and then nodded. "If you want to," the wolf said. "I have to eat first and you don't look like the type that likes to hunt for prey and stuff, though." She eyed up Pride for a moment, before adding, "you can help hunt if you want to, though."
Kera pushed herself up, shaking herself off once more before she began idly padding out into the open, sniffing the air. She was briefly distracted, however, by Pride's next question. Her leg. It didn't bother her-- the hibernation had taken care of it.
The wolf lifted her leg and took a glance over it. She remembered it looked more twisted before she went to sleep, but only slightly. Now, it lookd normal. "Nah," Kera concluded. "It feels better than it ever did before I went to sleep. I reckon I could even run properly on it now."
She flashed a doggish grin over her shoulder to Pride, though her expression was briefly flooded with... well, something Kera didn't know the word for. What happened to her leg. Blackberry happened, was the short answer-- but that meant taking a defeat from a fucking goose.
So what if she'd been two hours old when it occurred?
Kera set her paw back down on the cave floor. "It was broken when I hatched," she said. "Just fell on it, when I was coming down the throne for the first time." Less heroic, but Kera didn't want a lie too grandoise to blow her cover.
An accident was better than a defeat.
"Somebody put a gemstone on it, to try to set it, but I think the damage had already been done. It looks a lot better now, though."
