Wilder was sitting in the crevice between two rocks, staring out into the cave before her. He bright eyes were focused ahead and they darted around whenever there was movement. She was getting pretty hungry...she'd been practicing her magic for a while now and it was time for her to get a proper meal. But, in the spirit of practice, she decided that was how she was going to make her kill. Maybe not directly, but at least with the help of magic.

So close to Polaris, or, at least, closer then Canis, it was harder to concentrate. She often times felt a cloud of thoughtlessness try to drift around her mind. She would have to cut her magic short to refocus herself or do some excessive she had created to stop herself from falling into a fit. It was difficult, but she was getting better at it.

In the corner of her eye she saw movement darting around and she immediately pulled up the first spell she could think of. A couple of seconds later, everything around her slowed. Her breathing, her movement, and, most importantly, the movement of the creature.

In a strangely languid pace, she stood and lunged out of her little crevice, right towards the rat scuttling on the ground. She could pinpoint the location that it was going from the slowed time and aimed for that place. Right as she was about to leap, however, came the cloud again, quicker this time, and she shut off her magic. It was an awkward jump, no longer buffed by the magic, and she barely caught the end of the rat's tail.

With a swift nip, the snapped its spine and began to eat, feeling a lot better once she had some food in her stomach.

@Orlaith
Orlaith couldn't believe she was back here again, after the horrid encounter she had with Glory, that quick tempered eagle. Though she would not let it ruin her day, or faze her. Though she had no intentions of facing off against the eagle, time did have a way of showing change. Time, would change her into a predator, and it would change Orlaith's small body, into a large living weapon, like all tigers. Orlaith noticed that a small black cat with amazing purple eyes and a heart shaped gem on her cheek. The small cat was eating something. Orlaith walked up to to the small cat, taking a seat nearby. "Hello madame, my name is Orlaith Clawvale. May I ask who you are?" She curled her tail around her as she looked at the small cat.

@Wilder

Wilder jumped with surprise at the sudden voice nearby. She turned and saw another gembound (a cat!) nearby sitting quite delicately, with her tail curled in and everything. Her face broke into a large grin and she turned away from her meal, hopping merrily over to the new arrival. "Madame! Wow, so fancy! Hi! Hi, I'm Wilder! What a fancy name! What a fancy voice!"

With a purr, she stepped forward and reached forward and pressed her head against her new friend's leg. Yeah, a new friend! Orlaith was her new friend! Wilder, as usual, gave no thought to the fact that they had exchanged a single sentance with each other. She seemed friendly. Which meant she was a friend. Of course, the logical connection

@Orlaith
Well, wasn't this a delightful turn of events? Instead of the hotheaded Glory, she found a nice cat who she just met that wanted to be her friend. Glory was wrong. He claimed there were monsters and demons in this cave, but he failed to mention that there were good beings in the caves as well. Don't approach strangers? Ha! Orlaith would not be afraid to approach strangers, because that is how you learn. Facing things is how you learn and it seems all Glory has learned was arrogance, and hatred. Well, it seems Orlaith might as well talk to her new friend. She was very kind, and happy, plus Orlaith found being called fancy, a compliment. "Hello Wilder. It's nice to meet you. I was just roaming around in these caves but I find myself coming back here to this room. But it's nice to see I found a new friend." Orlaith gave a light stroke to Wilder's side, remembering her last conversation with that eagle. Would Wilder know anything, of what she was called and these caves? "Wilder, would you happen to know what these caves are called, and any creatures and stories that are associated with these caves? Also, I keep seeing other creatures who have gemstones like me and you, but what are we called? I have been searching for answers, but the last creature I met didn't want to tell me anything, then he frightened me." Orlaith felt happy that she had someone like Wilder as a friend. She was so happy and filled with life. Glory could learn a thing or two from her companion, but kindness was not for everyone, and it had a way of disappearing when anger showed.

@Wilder

Wilder beamed. She was so happy that someone had actually verbally called her a friend. Indelia was wrong! She could be friends with whomever she wanted! Anyone could be her friend immediately! She wanted to go and find the cat and prove to her that she could make friends with a single word! But that wasn't important right now.

She purred louder as the cat stroked her side and she felt her excitement boiling over. Oh, it was good to have friends that really cared back! So few of her friends did! Aure did, but he was so busy with the Bonebound that they couldn't talk much. Black had really cared but he was a watchful guardian. And Miru too, but she hadn't seen him for some time. She hopped away, letting out all of her energy in joyful bounces around the juvenille tiger. "Friend, friend! It's so good to have another friend!"

She paused for a second when the tiger asked her, her ears twitching as she thought. "Uh...I don't know what the caves are called. They're just The Caves. But there's a lot and I can tell you the names of the caves!" Without waiting for Orlaith's answer, she began to list them off. "We're in Orion, the star-room, and then there's Canis, it's this small room filled with bones and stuff, Pisces which is all wet and cold, Monoceros which is windy and really really loud!, Eridanus which is all green and planty, and Cetus which is also wet and really muddy, and Polaris which is the big room and the center of the caves! There's this big crystal thing called the Sp-" She cut herself off before she could finish the word, shaking out her head and seamlessly throwing herself right at the next question. "We're called gembounds! See?" She pawed at the heart on her cheek. "Bound to gems!" She stood tall and proud, as if it was a great achievement for her to make that connection.

There was a mischievous twinkle in her eye when Orlaith mentioned being frightened. She had no idea who had been mean to her and it was hard to believe that anyone would be mean! I mean, why be mean when you could be nice? "Frighten you? How? Did he do...this?!" And on the last word, she let loose a rush of magic, which surged through her more powerfully then any spell had in the past. Around her, a number of bright blue and pink wisps bust suddenly into existence and she stumbled back with surprise at the power behind the spell. For a moment, she stared at them, a little shocked, but then she laughed loudly and began to dance and bounce around the heatless flames. "Wow, that was so cool! I made so many! Pretty pretty!"
@Orlaith

Orllaith looked at the wisps, and this time, she wasn't scared. Beautiful wisps of blue and pink floated around, and she was amazed. She looked at Wilder for a minute, then asked another question. "Wilder, can I do stuff like that to? I mean I saw an eagle do magic, but it was fire instead of light. I don't even know what I have yet... if I have it that is." She sat down and gently pawed at one of this wisps. Even though Orlaith wasn't bubbly and bouncy like Wilder, it was heartwarming to see a creature filled with so much love and respect. For a moment she focused to see if she could do anything. But alas, nothing came, which was very disappointing. What kind of things could she do? At first when she saw Glory's display it was scary, now it was just confusing. She looked at the wisps and sighed, hoping to find soon enough just exactly what it was she could do. She hoped the phrase "practice makes perfect" applied to her.

@Wilder

Wilder stopped bouncing around for a moment to focus on the tiger. "Yeah! We can all use magic! Magic is fun! Easy! Watch this!" She jumped into a turn and smacked her paws on the ground hard. It didn't actually do anything but it made it look even more flashy when, all of a sudden, rocks and pebbles and even a boulder began to lift into the air. Wilder laughed and directed them to dance around, swirling in a circle around her and Orlaith, floating among the wisps that danced as well and flashed bright colors. Wilder was having the time of her life, zooming around and bouncing and laughing.

"You have magic! Try! Try it! It's in your gem! You just let it out!" She didn't explain farther then this, too distracted by her magical successes to really pay too much attention.

@Orlaith
Orlaith was amazed at what she was seeing, wisps floating, then rocks and pebbles began to float around in a circle. Wilder was not only a happy one, but my, could she control magic! Orlaith focused very hard, closing her eyes. Then suddenly, very visible droplets of water in the air could be seen as it was drawn towards towards her being absorbed through her skin, but it only lasted about 3 seconds. The cub started to feel a tad bit more hydrated than she had before. Orlaith couldn't believe what she had just done! She discovered she had the power to control water! If Glory was that talented with fire, then she could only imagine what she could do with water! "Wilder, I have the power to control water! I can control water!" The droplets started to disappear, and Orlaith could see them as they did. Of course, she had to thank her friend for helping her find that out. Usually her time alone was to explore , but now she was having a fun magic lesson with her new friend.

@Wilder

Wilder managed to catch the tail end of Orlaith's magic demonstration and she purred loud with happiness. She didn't think she knew any water users! None! That was something special, then, her new friend was special! She bounced forward, zipping around the tiger cub's feet. It seemed that somehow she always ended up at this point, so excited that she has to run around her friends to get all of her energy out. "Wow! Amazing! I'll be you'll be able to do all kinds of things with that! Shoot water, freeze water, breathe under water, wow that'll be so cool!"

After a few moments of running around, the magic holding up the boulders faded and they softly touched to the ground while the wisps disappeared. Breathing heavily from the exertion, Wilder plopped herself down in front of Orlaith, but her eyes were still glowing with happiness. "Wow! This was fun! You are still young, though, right? Wow, I remember when I hatched, I made a friend with black fur too! Although he was much bigger then me!" She purred contently. "Where did you hatch?"

@Orlaith
It seemed Wilder kinda tuckered herself out from their magic lesson! The black cat then took a seat in front of the cub. Orlaith listened to her friend as she asked her a couple of questions. Wilder got one thing right, that was fun. Orlaith had listened to the places Wilder had told her of in the caves. The tigress recalled hatching in a jungle place, just like one of the places Wilder had described. "I hatched in Eridanus. I am quite young and it hasn't been long since I hatched. But I know I won't stay this size, I can assure you I will be much larger than this, though I'm not exactly sure how much." Now Orlaith was tuckered out. She took a wide yawn. The cub felt sleepy, and knew she couldn't travel and explore when she was this tired. As she spoke her voice got tired. "Hey Wilder, I'm getting a bit tired here. I can't go exploring the caves like this all drowsy. I'm going to get some sleep." A catnap was just what she needed. Maybe it was because she used her powers for the first time. Whatever it was, the young cub needed rest. She tiredly and kinda clumsily walked to a comfortable spot not too far, and laid down. Though while her friend was still here, Orlaith's ears were still open in case she wanted to talk some more.
