Wilder was sitting in the crevice between two rocks, staring out into the cave before her. He bright eyes were focused ahead and they darted around whenever there was movement. She was getting pretty hungry...she'd been practicing her magic for a while now and it was time for her to get a proper meal. But, in the spirit of practice, she decided that was how she was going to make her kill. Maybe not directly, but at least with the help of magic.
So close to Polaris, or, at least, closer then Canis, it was harder to concentrate. She often times felt a cloud of thoughtlessness try to drift around her mind. She would have to cut her magic short to refocus herself or do some excessive she had created to stop herself from falling into a fit. It was difficult, but she was getting better at it.
In the corner of her eye she saw movement darting around and she immediately pulled up the first spell she could think of. A couple of seconds later, everything around her slowed. Her breathing, her movement, and, most importantly, the movement of the creature.
In a strangely languid pace, she stood and lunged out of her little crevice, right towards the rat scuttling on the ground. She could pinpoint the location that it was going from the slowed time and aimed for that place. Right as she was about to leap, however, came the cloud again, quicker this time, and she shut off her magic. It was an awkward jump, no longer buffed by the magic, and she barely caught the end of the rat's tail.
With a swift nip, the snapped its spine and began to eat, feeling a lot better once she had some food in her stomach.

Wilder jumped with surprise at the sudden voice nearby. She turned and saw another gembound (a cat!) nearby sitting quite delicately, with her tail curled in and everything. Her face broke into a large grin and she turned away from her meal, hopping merrily over to the new arrival.
With a purr, she stepped forward and reached forward and pressed her head against her new friend's leg. Yeah, a new friend! Orlaith was her new friend! Wilder, as usual, gave no thought to the fact that they had exchanged a single sentance with each other. She seemed friendly. Which meant she was a friend. Of course, the logical connection

Wilder beamed. She was so happy that someone had actually verbally called her a friend. Indelia was wrong! She could be friends with whomever she wanted! Anyone could be her friend immediately! She wanted to go and find the cat and prove to her that she could make friends with a single word! But that wasn't important right now.
She purred louder as the cat stroked her side and she felt her excitement boiling over. Oh, it was good to have friends that really cared back! So few of her friends did! Aure did, but he was so busy with the Bonebound that they couldn't talk much. Black had really cared but he was a watchful guardian. And Miru too, but she hadn't seen him for some time. She hopped away, letting out all of her energy in joyful bounces around the juvenille tiger.
She paused for a second when the tiger asked her, her ears twitching as she thought.
There was a mischievous twinkle in her eye when Orlaith mentioned being frightened. She had no idea who had been mean to her and it was hard to believe that anyone would be mean! I mean, why be mean when you could be nice?
@Orlaith
@Wilder
Wilder stopped bouncing around for a moment to focus on the tiger.

Wilder managed to catch the tail end of Orlaith's magic demonstration and she purred loud with happiness. She didn't think she knew any water users! None! That was something special, then, her new friend was special! She bounced forward, zipping around the tiger cub's feet. It seemed that somehow she always ended up at this point, so excited that she has to run around her friends to get all of her energy out.
After a few moments of running around, the magic holding up the boulders faded and they softly touched to the ground while the wisps disappeared. Breathing heavily from the exertion, Wilder plopped herself down in front of Orlaith, but her eyes were still glowing with happiness.
