The answer to Pride's sort-of question was-- well, not really. The wolf tilted her muzzle upwards to meet the Collector's gaze, ears flicking. Sure, the idea of glowing all the time and shining would, in fact, make her truly a creature of light, but--

"I can already glow," she said, pushing herself up. Under the shaggy fur around her neck, a pink light shone through the white hairs, soon replaced with gold-white as, when the wolf shook herself out, she began to glow.

And there, she stood. Bathed in warm, golden light. If it were dark it might have looked a little more impressive, of course-- but for now, it was subtle, especially under the lights that the generator and the orbs provided. She listened, and she wondered. Apart from bringing light, and killing Blackberry, what could she give?

"I dunno what you'd want," Kera said a little skeptically, eyeing the robed figure up and down. "I can make bananas, and grow plants and mushrooms, and bring light. I can make things glow. I can hunt, and I can find things."

The Collector drummed his claws against his chin--or what was probably his chin, beneath the hood of the cloak.

"Are you certain you do not wish revenge?" he asked Pride. "I could arrange that, you know. And I know that you can glow, heroic wolf-beast," he answered Kera, and it seemed warm. "I speak of enhancing it. A permanent glow, and glowing golden eyes. What else might you ask of me, instead?"

"I do have something that could use both of your talents. Were a large enough gemstone--golden and pink, I should think--be summoned from the seat of your Throne--" and here he nodded to Pride--"and made to glow quite brightly, I would reward you both. However, it would be under the condition that you never tell anyone who formed it, or enhanced it with light. A little fun, nothing harmful--what do you say?"

Crimson eyes watched the two, and the Collector held his breath.

Pride listened, and his brow perked. It seemed a small price, for knowledge--yet what effects might it have? And then there was Envy. "My King sits atop that Throne. It would disturb them greatly, I think, if it were to be suddenly assaulted in such a manner. At least let me inform them." He wasn't about to go into the... intricacies of the Seven's format--not now.

"And what effects will this stone have? What would this actually do? I trust it would have some strange effect on magic within the caves, or... something along these lines?" he added, tilting his head and eyeing the Collector.

Kera was unsure what she actually wanted-- information, yes, but this was information that Pride was asking for. As tempting as glowing permanently was, Kera was unsure if she actually wanted it.

But fuck, it'd be cool as shit.

She decided not to answer the Collector's first question, ears rotating as she looked back to Pride, then to the Collector. "Big enough?" She asked. "Did it used to belong to someone? Why do you want it out and glowing?"

The wolf grew quickly suspicious, the hairs along her spine bristling with abrupt dread. A little fun seemed like the least likely answer-- perhaps it was a test to see how far she and Pride would go for information, or glowing eyes, and perhaps it was a diversion for something else?

Kera did not know. She glanced uneasily at Pride and nodded quietly at his questions. "Will it piss off the Kings?" She asked-- not in reference to Pride's king, but the three bird-kings of Orion. "Astraea, Tenzin? Do they want something to do with it? Will it be revivied into something like the Architect?"

The Collector rapidly answered each question one at a time, ticking them off on his fingers. To Pride, he said:

"Feel free, none, nothing, and no. You cannot reveal for whom you did this, then," he amended. To Kera, he continued: "Enormous--visible from quite a distance. No--Pride will summon it. To be visible, no, perhaps, doubtful, and no."

Then he spread his hands, claws out and palms up.

"Interested?"

Pride tilted his head a little, eyes narrowed. It certainly didn't seem to be that steep a price. He was certain that there was more to it than all of this--but he felt like adding a condition of its own. "Very well--so long as it will not cause harm. I am certain that you have some sort of reason you are not telling us--and if it causes harm, you are breaking your side, and I will break mine. Aside from that--I am interested."

Eyes narrowed with suspicion, he glanced to Kera. He didn't feel quite certain about this, but the draw of knowledge pulled at him--what would she say?

Kera did not feel anymore at ease as the Collector rattled off the answers to their questions-- as Pride had said, there was likely something that the creature wasn't letting them know. Her eyes darted towards the stag, briefly, then to the Collector again.

She wanted to know more, too-- to learn more about the caves. The Kings had, after all, spoken of a surface. A sky. Kera wanted to know what those things were.

"Me too," the wolf eventually said, slowly. "As long as it doesn't hurt anyone, or cause problems in the caves."

Unless it hurt a Bloodberry.

That was absolutely fucking fine, as far as Kera was concerned.

@Pride

The Collector tsk'd. "To think me so sinister. No; it will hurt no one. And the only problems it may cause are with those who might become irritated at the stone's presence on the throne. You have my word," he added, and from his sleeves he swiftly drew two short sheets of parchment.

Each were weathered, yellow, and scrawled with long lines of black script, with a blank space at their bottom.

"Place a foot here, and our deal is set. Create the gem, imbue it with light, and return to me for your reward." The Collector swept the parchments forward, their bare spots waiting for a paw and for a hoof.

Pride listened, his expression veiled. Well, at least if the Collector was lying, they'd be free to tell everyone who'd done the deed--and beyond that, they'd have received their rewards. Pride shrugged it off, a little, and spoke--glancing a bit meaningfully at Kera.

"You do realize we have no idea what that is?" He pressed his hoof to it nonetheless, holding the Collector's gaze as he did so. "I certainly hope this is no trick."

Kera ruffled her fur out, though was suprirsed as the sheets of paper were drawn out of the collector's sleeves. Her ears rotated and she bent her neck forward to sniff the parchment, warily.

Was it... food? It sort of looked like you could eat it. Right as she was about to open her mouth and take a taste, the collector ordered her to put her paw on it instead. Pink eyes cast over towards Pride, then the contract.

She watched the stag as he pressed his own hoof against his. Well, fuck it, Kera supposed, planting a hefty paw against the blank space in her parchment as well.

"What are these things for?" Kera asked.
