Long body slinked slowly forward. Her movements were slowed partly due to the awkward body nature had given her; weirdly webbed and knotted front legs with lankier back longs along with her lengthy tail and neck. Despite being 3 cycles and nearly grown, in her eyes, walking was still a task that took much effort and a full run was nearly impossible at this point. However, only partly was nature the cause for her slowed actions. Abeni was a meek and quieter child. The idea of fighting, even in a fun way as a competition, unnerved her. But it was her momma competing and she just had to be there to cheer her on! Momma would probably be disappointed in her if she didn’t appear. She couldn’t stand the idea of Momma being disappointed in her!
So slowly and hesitantly Abeni had made her way to the competition. Despite her sluggishness, she had made it to the area just before the fight was suppose to start. Long head lifted as she spotted her mother, scales glistening in the light in a way Abeni could only dream of. Momma looked so majestic there!
Then her head swirled and saw the dark wolf. She was so scary looking in comparison! She wasn’t like Momma at all! Abeni’s long fur twitched with nervousness, hoping that her mother would be okay. But Momma had insisted that it was all in good fun.
“
Go Momma! You can do it!” She cried out as cheerfully as she could muster.

Asimona stared at the wolf with surprise. She knew her, but she couldn't place where she had seen her before. It was a long time ago, surely. But it wasn't until Glory said her name did she know who she was facing. "Berry" was her name. Blackberry and Blueberry's daughter. She closed her eyes as anger threatened to overtake her. Last year fighting without hurting had been easy, but now...
Her claw had never regrown. One of her talons was still broken and probably some trophy of that wretched goose. She flexed it as she thought about it and she tried to calm herself. If she got too angry, if she got too emotional, then she would come and make her make a mistake. She couldn't make a mistake.
She opened her eyes and growled at Jayberry, but her anger was under control now. This was a competition not a real fight. "Yes," she hissed, just loud enough for Jayberry to hear, "my name is Asimona. Know this, Jayberry - if we were not under strict rules to shed no blood, I would tear you apart right here and now and freeze the remains so you would be frozen in agony forever. Nothing will excuse what your family has done."
Just as she straightened up, she heard the sound of Abeni cheering from the crowds and she glanced over. The little hybrid's black face peeking out at her and she lifted her wing a little bit. She smiled before turning to the wolf. She bunched her muscles, strengthened by a controlled rage and her daughter's cheering, and lunged forward, arms extended, but claws pulled back so they would not scratch her. She would knock her over with her palms, as hard as she could.
"Can you hear their voice?"
"Find the one who'll guide you."
To the limits of your choice.

Round: 1/5
Attempt: Knock her over with her palms
Defense: none
Injuries: none
Abeni watched wide-eyed as the fight stared. To be honest, it was terrifying to her. Her long neck arched back onto itself as she attempted to shrink as small as possible. But she was determined to watch the fight through. She just had to support her mother! Even though the wolf was scary, the way it smiled at her. The hybrid didn’t understand why, but the smile seemed scary, not at all like when her momma smiled at her.
Then her momma was rushing forward and pinning the wolf down. It was amazing and for a moment, all sense of fear was lost. Her mother was like this amazing heroine, taking the villain down. A spark of pride filled her to know she was of her stone, her life force, her lineage. Even a smile appeared on her face, the moonstone canine shimmering in the light.
“Yeah Momma! You get that big bad wolfie!”
As the wolf fought back, Asimona found herself struggling to get a grip on the wolf. She was lashing out too much and knocking her claws away. She frowned and dove towards her legs this time, trying to use one of her feet to pin them to the ground. She heard the voice of her daughter again ringing out from the stands and she smiled again. She'd win this, then. She wanted to impress her.
