The journey was shorter, yes, but it was not a pleasant one. The raven's grip was tight despite his injury, yes, but it did not stop the nagging feeling in Eve that she was going to fall. She wasn't sure how she hadn't burst anybody's ears on the way here, but... well, at least there were no blood on her hands.

She was relieved once the low ceiling and scattered bones came into view. She began wiggling a little to try be put back on the ground and, if allowed, would immediately begin setting off in what would seem like a random direction.

Giggle here!
This seems to be the only explaination as to where the crow is heading and she only briefly passes Krakarak a glance before she continues on towards the hyena's eating-spot, chirping contentedly to herself. She'd missed Giggle, admittedly.

From the moment he had picked her up from the time they had arrived to Canis the little girl had kept up a fuss. Not just any fuss though, a loud one! Very loud. His ears were ringing long before they'd gotten home and yelling back seemed to do nothing. Seemed as if she was content with letting everyone know just how much she hated flying and being carried by a large raven. The only thing that would help would be ramping up the speed to get their even quicker which he tried to do.

Finally, when they'd gotten back the little one started wiggling around to be set down and Krak happily obliged. Unceremoniously dropping her on the ground while he continued to fly. He had to check on his shinies to make sure no one had touched them whilst he was away.

Within moments he was at his nest on a ledge near the back of Canis. Everything seemed to be in order, all of his collected gems and even his prized glowing stone. He pecked at it softly and stroked it with a talon. Oh, he loved this thing so much. For a moment he was lost in his thoughts as he gazed at the wondrous stone.

The large, but still-young and still-slightly-shaggy spotted hyena was picking through her bone pile near the center of Canis, where the ceiling dipped low, when the shrieking began.

She stood up straighter at once, peering around bemusedly. Black paw retracted from faded ribcage as she pondered just what was making such a horrific racket. But... somehow it was amusing, too.

Red coat shimmered under the light of the orbs as she paced forward, leaving her bonepile behind her just a bit to look out toward the sound. Bones, it was terrible. Squawking, loud, shrill, and piercing.

Wait... I think I know that voice.

Giggle's brow furrowed, large ears rotating as she paid close attention. Living in Canis she had become something of a connoisseur of shrieks and screams, what with the scavenger birds, and this one sounded something like the young crow that had been here a few days past.

Giggle thought about this, a moment, then let out a loud, echoing cackle in return, to indicate her location as well as just to make contact.

"AH-AHAHAHA-HA HA HA-AHAHAHAHA!"

She did this several times, listening each time for the approaching crow, and when she finally sat on her haunches, she was smugly pleased at her own ear-shredding volume.

Eve briefly looked after the raven as he flew off elsewhere, croaking quietly to herself. She wasn't sure where Giggle would be, until the hyena began cackling. She forgot about her own loud entrance as she wondered if Giggle knew, and how she knew she was here, but she was fairly sure that didn't matter.

She squawked and shrieked as she quickly bumbled along to the direction of the hyena's voice, perhaps already forgetting about her less-than-pleasant trip to Canis. Once Giggle came into view, the little bird's screeching turned into actual, delighted-sounded words.

Giggle! Giggle hi! Giggle! Hi! Hi!

She craned her head down to begin charging directly into the hyena's foot, but skidded by the hyena with a squawk. She scrambled to her feet, talons scratching loudly against the cave ground, as she bumbled over to curl into her paw anyway, beak grinding contentedly.

The raven was so busy oogling at his stone that the sudden loud laughter that split through the air caused he to flutter into the air in shock. What had that been? He landed back on his nest, beady eyes glaring accusingly around as if someone would pop out to steal his stone at any moment but nothing did. However, another peal of laughter sounded not too long after that one. However, the raven was ready this time and it didn't bother him as badly. He simply let out an aggressive croak before snatching the stone up in his injured talon and taking back off towards the crow. Only the crow wasn't there anymore... Had she gone towards the laughter? Most likely. The raven turned and made his way towards the sound, figuring that so long as he was in the air then he would be fine.

It didn't take too long before he found a hyena and Eve sitting right below her at the hyena's foot. Was this some new member of Bonebound? Or someone old from Bonebound that he hadn't met yet? Aza'zel was always going on about how they were supposed to be family... Did that mean he should be tolerable to this new animal? Well, he would be the judge of that.

After letting out a loud crow the raven dived downwards and landed on the top of a nearby bonepile. He tilted his head to the side as he examined the hyena. "Krak Krak! Who you?" He asked. He clutched the stone in his talons protectively as he watched the pair.

Giggle grinned, lopsidedly, thick fangs glinting in the faint orb-light with a reddish tinge. The black fluff nestled against her foot and she leaned down to briefly nudge the bird.

"Eve. Hi, little one--"

Hyena head whipped up, Giggle wincing as Krakarak crowed his question. She sighed through her nose as she very briefly glanced over the bird. He was like Aza'zel but black--jet black, smaller, with a thick shiny beak and something even shinier clutched in his talons. She shook her head slightly; was this what the fluff at her foot would one day become?

Giggle glanced down at Eve, then back up at Krakarak, before answering.

"Giggle. And you...? The little bird is mine," she added, with a throaty gurgle--something between a chuckle and a growl. "No eating her."

Giggle then glanced down at Eve, and spoke slightly more quietly, though Krakarak could likely still overhear.

"Fresh meat-bones at den, if you're hungry."

Then Giggle glanced back to Krakarak, gaze mostly impassive--but hints of both curiosity and wariness visible. What would this stranger be like?

Krakarak say he try teach stuff.

The crow bounces off with not much more being said, apparently deciding to let the older ones talk. She'd realized she was still practically starving and she had began to regret giving up the worm she'd found - though the carrion sounded better to eat than insects, anyway.

She had nearly forgotten where Giggle's food-den was, though after not-that-long of spelunking, she eventually found herself fluffed up contentedly, tearing at pieces of flesh off bones in the den. She sat on an already-exposed bone with her head dipping up and down, at times her head craned all the way back to try swallow pieces of meat easier. There was more to eat on carrion than there was on bugs, she'd realised, so she was sure that she'd be completely full by the time the meat would be gone.

But for now she'd take her time.

The large bird clacked his beak together distastefully when the hyena said there was no eating the little bird. As if he would eat his own kind. Sick. Then again, he'd probably make an exception for a pigeon. Especially the pigeon he'd fought before, the one who'd injured his foot so badly. "Am Krakarak." He answered this Giggle. Strange name.

He leaned forward, head cocking to the side to hear what the hyena said. Fresh meat? He loved fresh meat! He gave an excited caw. Meat den? Where was that? His eyes followed the crow and his wings prepared for flight, prepared to follow her. "Krakarak likes fresh meat! Krak Krak!" That was all he said to Giggle before he took off after the crow. He stayed well above both her and the hyena but within range so that he could see.

He had no want to talk to the hyena, not when meat was about. What he wanted was to eat more food. Sure he'd had the worm but he was willing to eat far more meat.

It was easy enough to track the crow and he landed in the entrance of the den, wings spread, beady eyes staring into the crow's back. "Share!" He cawed at her.

Giggle stood as Eve hopped off, sparing Krakarak a brief glance. No sooner had she started to pad off after her new "hatchling" than the larger raven was flapping down in the same direction.

Giggle picked up her pace, trotting down to the meat den, glancing between the two as she came to a stop a few yards away.

She didn't interfere, not yet; she just watched the carrion birds in silence, observing.

The crow lifted her head and looked over her shoulder. She felt like she knew what the raven had meant by not putting his wings away - he was looking for battle. Again. She ruffled herself up and turned to lift her wings - if you could even call them that - and flail them a little, screeching back.

Why Krakarak doin' that?!

She didn't actually know what she'd do if the other bird had decided to actually break out into a fight. She was fairly certain that she'd be the one to bleed out, the raven's wounds or not. Maybe Giggle would help, or would her ears be too damaged by the sound of screeching birds? It was hard to tell, but she was fairly sure it'd end badly. Oops.
