Hello and welcome all to Origin's official writing club! A place to chill, chat, and get the brain churning!
Every week, a new writing prompt will be posted in this thread, and each person taking part will be tasked with writing a short piece or story relating to that prompt, and posting it here. The prompt may be a piece of dialogue, an object or setting, or a mood or tone to write to. To suggest prompts, feel free to send it to my GM account, or Miles on Discord!
After posting our prompts, this thread can be used to discuss our pieces, offer advice and constructive criticism, perhaps even vote on favourites later on down the line.
Participating in the weekly writing challenges will not go unrewarded, either! The weekly challenges will reward each participant with 20 magicka! Neat, right?
Rules:
- Please bear in mind the rating of the site when posting your stories! Be sure to tag anything with extreme violence or language as mature.
- Sexually explicit content is not allowed!
- Written pieces should be between 300 and 700 words, so that they can be posted and discussed within the thread!
- You are welcome to post more than one short story. However, please limit your stories to one-per-post, and bear in mind that you will only be rewarded once per prompt!
- Pieces do not have to exclusively feature Origin characters! And there are no limits on genre and setting (with the exception of erotica). However, be sure to ask before featuring anyone else's OC's or Origin characters, and sadly fanfiction is not allowed, as others involved may not understand the context.
- Members of the Origin writing club are not required to post stories on a weekly basis. If you need a break for a week or only want to check in occasionally, that's A-okay!
