"Hmm," he considered. The idea of banners popped into his head, but with no way to actually create those, he put that aside for another day. As he eyed Envy, though, he was thinking that he would be in full armor for the ceremony.

"We could perhaps fashion you some armor. Other than that--I will let you know if I think of anything."

He offered another deep sweep of his antlers in a bow. "If you'd like that, I can go and start forming gemstones now, or we can look to one of the cave blacksmiths if you wish it forged from true gold? Though I hear the stuff is heavy," he added, "and a bit too soft for any real protection. That aside--will there be anything more? -Once you decide when to hold the meeting, do let me know and I will be happy to let any of your chosen invitees know, on your behalf."

Envy listened with tangible eagerness, the tip of their tail slightly twitching. Armour? Yes!! The thought filled them with excitement. They'd always wanted armour! Always envied Pride's home-crafted diamond plating. And yet, always put off making some themselves as they'd always known that it would never be the same.

"Yes, yes! Armour!" they trilled eagerly. As Pride continued, Envy blinked. They wondered, for a moment, why anyone would want gold if it were as inconvenient as it sounded. But then, they realised, as a status symbol. What better way to show off one's position than by wearing something terribly pretty, yet inconvenient?

Still... they wanted to be able to bound around and meet their kingdom. They wanted to be known for being a good king, not one who was tied to their throne by armour that they were too weak to lift. The weasel was hardly in a state where it could shoulder any sort of weight for long periods. But then... They wanted the gold armour.

Still seemingly lost in thought, they offered pride a nod. "So long as it looks like gold, that will be good," they decided finally. "Perhaps we can make something lighter and better, then."

And then they nodded, vigorously.

"Yes, yes, of course!" they said gleefully, sinking down and tightening their grasp on the stone beneath their paws, coiling their twitching tail around the back.

Speech. Thought.

Pride gave a little dip of his head, a nod of sorts, satisfied.

"Very good, your majesty," he agreed, to Envy's... well, agreement. He then turned to go, though paused only a step out, turning back briefly.

"Thank you for giving me your time," he added. "I appreciate it--and I have high hopes for our future."

Another dip of his head, and he turned to go.

He was pleased, all told; things had gone more smoothly than he'd anticipated. Envy was, he reflected (with some relief) fairly easily-pleased and -placated. But perhaps they did truly see that this was a move for the better. Perhaps they could create something from the clay they had been given: to mold something great, a Kingdom worth something. Worth remembering. One that would last, and reign, and become a staple in the caves; something that would aid those within it, and structure life into some semblance of order and stability.

Pride could only hope.

Envy watched Pride go with equal pangs of excitement and apprehension, their tail twitching and eyes bright. His words left them with a feeling of pride buzzing throughout them, although they knew they had a lot to do before the ceremony was as good as they wanted it to be.

No matter. They could deal with that when the time arrived. Pride would know what to do; they looked forward to donning their armour for the first time, too.

There were so many possibilities, so so much potential. And this time, it was all about them.

Envy didn't think they'd ever felt this good in all their cycles.
