Rolling for magical presence...
Jayberry finds a small, rough stone: layers of periwinkle, cloudy grey and pale, dull blue make up this
Chalcedony. This stone once belonged to a
Fledgling (+1) mammalian creature about the size of a small Red Deer, perhaps three hundred pounds in weight.
Despite being warm-blooded, it was covered in thick, reptilian hide, in shades of very pale and undersaturated brown and darker, richer brown, along with a few lime-green highlights. It had crimson eyes. It had six legs; four were in a doglike configuration, with two held forward at the chest, smaller, with almost hand-like limbs for grasping and manipulation. With blunt teeth and side-set eyes, it was herbivorous, though its great speed allowed it to outdistance predators, and its ability to climb allowed it to live in places others could not easily reach. In addition, the grasping hands on its forelimbs were tipped with long and savage claws for self-defense. The other four legs were hooved. Its face was blunt, short, without a muzzle; it had a pair of nostrils and mouth like an ape, and two catlike ears. Its tail was small and pointed, and held upward, not unlike a rabbit's. A pair of horns twisted out over the ears, slender and spiralling, reaching out about two feet in either direction.
