This thread takes place before [TB] in this organization, there is a way.
It had been a long day. Laurel yawned wide as she paced along the track around Canis. The little divots held interest to her and reminded her of her own little paws. She found ONE print just like hers- did she put that there? No, she hadn't been here before. She couldn't have put them there.
That was one mystery down. A few others followed suite, however, such as were those other markings also left by feet? Did someone up and make them, or was the cave just like that? Her long snout pressed to the floor as she paced along, her tail lazily wagging behind her. She moved slightly mindlessly, not really having the brain cell to afford thinking at the moment.
As she paced along, she felt a tug at the base of her neck and a twinge of an unfamiliar feeling. It wasn't like anything she'd felt before- something like moving a muscle, but if her brain was a muscle? That didn't make a lick of sense. However, along with the feeling came a particular... Tinkling.
What. Laurel stopped in her tracks, her eyes going wide and ears perking. What was that? Her shrill bark rang out off the cave wall as she twisted around, trying to pinpoint where the noise was coming from.
It was... Coming from her? Specifically, her back, right where she felt that twinge? Well- she needed to get the noise out of her! Jumping in circles, she fell to the floor with a hind leg just trying to reach up and barely missing. Annoying!
Wait, it wasn't actually hurting her. In confusion, she stopped ever so slowly, her ears pinned back as the melody faded. Some intrinsic part of her knew that it was fine, that it was normal. She couldn't really lay her paw on it, though. It was borderline outlandish, but, she'd never heard this happen before. She's probably just... Normal, right? The other creatures could probably do this. That was probably the feeling that happened.

Something still felt... Off. The twinge in her back persisted as she sat, hearing that faint tune fade out. A pang of sadness touched Laurel's heart. She was gonna miss the little melody.
Wait, that feeling brought it on. If she made that feeling happen again, maybe the melody wouldn't go? Her ears folded back as she sat, her brain processing what she had to do. It wasn't pain. It was like... A second brain? No, that didn't make sense. The gears turned painfully as she stared at the Chambers from her position. Right. Maybe.. Just.. Focus? Maybe it was just like moving a leg or something.
The canine took a deep breath and huffed out. Alright. Focus. Calm. Neither was in her vocabulary, but maybe soon it could be. After a beat she shut her eyes and grit her teeth, pulling all her attention to that spot on her back. Maybe envisioning the chime would help? Softly, in her head (and with a faint hum) she forced the note back through, hearing it in her mind.
Actually, she heard it in more than her mind. Opening her eyes, she realized that the sound had come back! Her tail wagged as she grinned, trying to curl her neck to look at her back. Nothing seemed out of place, as far as she could see, but it still seemed to originate from there. That strange feeling, though, persisted as she peered down her spine. Hrrm... It was a little tiring, but so very interesting to the days old canine. Here she was, among ancient pathways and making a little melody for anything out there!
