It had taken him a number of days to leave what he now knew as Canis and he hoped he never had to return. The mist and general feeling of the tunnel he had past through made him shiver, but from it had come something of a wonder. Above him flickered twinkling lights, around him structures of stone. His mood lifted as he made his way through the ruins. What could have been here? Who,would likely be the better thing to ask?
Something that jutted oddly from the ruins flashed in his periphery as he made his way past and that gave him pause. There wasn't much here that gave him pause. As he made his way closer he found that it was some singular outcropping. " What is this?"
@Vargas
This was the second big thing...creature that had come upon him without his knowing. He tensed, eyeing the green eyes that stared at him the dark. "Yes..." He faltered, was going to die this time? It didn't seem that way with the questions they were asking him, but one could never know I don't know what I am, but I came from Canis, the room with all the bones. There was this big Dark one that attacked me as I fell from home. It wasn't fun. Where am I? What are you? Are you going to eat me? He grew silent waiting an answer, figuring he had asked enough questions.
@Vargas
A sharp nod followed Overseer Vargas's command to call him as such. He might not know how to do much but he could at least respect his wishes. It was also a relief to hear that he wasn't going to be eaten and maybe just a little bit of an ego stoke for the young one. He's head cocked at the mention of a master. A Master, who were they? He could get no more out, as questions were asked of him, a length pause followed with his pondered of his being. "I didn't get a good look at them. They were on top on me before I knew it, biting my neck. Um, four arms and wings, oh they have horns to. I was... was in this thing, it was warm and I was safe, but then it broke, and now I'm here."
@Vargas
"The Masters guide the caves. Though I imagine some still rest," Vargas rumbled thoughtfully. He hadn't been entirely throughout the cave himself, yet, since awakening--nothing near--but he was certain that if they were all awake, the caves wouldn't in such disorganized disrepair.
At Taxicolor's own response, he glanced to him once more. A chrysalis? Formed from gemstone, then, but he does not know by whom. I see. Vargas gave a rumble of thought. He pondered the description of the attacker, and filed it away into his memory. It didn't immediately match anyone he could think of, at least. "Now you are here," he agreed, aloud. Then, curious, he asked questions of his own. "Tell me, small one--where will you go now? What do you call yourself? What life do you intend to make for yourself in the caves?"
Does it even know the first thing of the world around it? --I suppose not even I do, for that matter; I've no idea what may have changed during my rest.
The creature, however, did not answer; and Vargas, caring nothing for patience, simply stalked away.
