It was the scent of herbs that had drawn the dog.
After the Trials, he had sought a perhaps. For cycles, he had done nothing, eaten and slept and waited for his next fit that would send him into his Chrysalis once more. He had seen death, though, horrific injuries that had rolled his stomach, nearly died himself.
He didn't know how long he would live, if he would one day drop and not wake up. Even today, his mind buzzed and buzzed, his Gemstone throbbing. Yoosung was no fighter, he was too much of a coward for that. And his Magic was iffy at best, betrayed him on a bad day, was unreliable on a good. But if he could heal... it would all be worth it.
He had already found a painkilling herb, had a small stash of it in his den. And it had him wondering--were there other herbs that could do the same? That could do other things?
And the wall smelled of herbs, which made no sense. It was covered only in ivy, and he saw no signs of herbs. Eridanus was nearby, but he had paced up and down and the scent was strongest here. So the dog huffed, and began to paw at the ivy, trying to figure out what the hell was going on. His paw parted the ivy, and he froze in surprise as his paw was not met with stone, gawking in baffled confusion.
