ORIGIN - Break Out

Tight, her warm space was no longer that fun. It was constrictive and so she pushed against it. Slowly light filtered in 1 small piece at a time. After seeing the light she wanted more. So she knocked against her chrysalis. Finally it broke open and she slid out onto the ground. Her fur was sticky and wet. Her limbs felt weird as she lay there. She twitched her left paw before she moved her left elbow. She watched the movement with rapt attention before she turned her head to look at the ground. Curious there was a glowing plant on the ground. She tilted her head before she pulled herself the rest of the way out of her chrysalis.

As she pulled herself out she tried to stand up. Her legs were weak at first before growing in strength. After a couple minutes though she sat down, tired. As she wasn't sure what to do she started to groom her fur. She wanted the goop off her before she went off to find out where exactly she was.

Deli

The pup was trotting across the ground happily, three small vials of different colored paints clenched tightly in their jaws. It really was luck that they'd found some poor gembound's stash, which had a number of these little crystal vials just waiting to be used. They'd have to go back for more, though, once they had a way to carry all of this. For now, the colors they'd made earlier - red, light blue, and green - were safely stored in crystal tubes and held snugly in Deli's jaws.

The shattering of a chrysalis nearby alerted them that someone was nearby. They stopped and turned, looking for the source of the sound. Was that-...oh! A chrysalis breaking! A brand new Gembound, then, how fun! Well, they weren't going to very well pass up the opportunity to make a new friend (and some potential mischief) so they changed their course and bounded over to the tiger cub.

They were barely taller then the newborn kid themselves, but they didn't seem to mind, tail wagging happily as they set the crystal vials on the floor. "Hiya," they yapped. Eyes traveled over the tiger as she groomed and, for whatever reason, they continued with "Do you need help with that?"

A voice broke her concentration of cleaning her fur. Curious she lifted her head to see a few creature. It didn't look like her so what was it? They seemed happy though so she smiled her body practically wiggling with glee at seeing a new creature. "Hi!" When they asked if they could help clean her fur she giggled. Well that was silly? Why would they want to clean her own fur? "I suppose if you truly want to." She said with mirth in her voice.

She was happy that someone was here. Maybe they could tell her where she was. Cause she was so confused. "Do you know where we are?" Curiousness coated her words as she asked the question.

Deli

The little kid was basically wiggling in front of them and for a second they were a bit confused. Were they scared of them? Maybe, like, really really happy? They sometimes moved wildly when they were happy, but they couldn't be sure and they really didn't feel like guessing. For an instant, the serpentine on the back of their shoulder glowed as Deli's brain was turned upside down, matching whatever the kid was feeling.

And, yeah, they were pretty damn happy. They didn't detect any suspicion, so it was a go! Smiling widely, they picked up the vials and got closer, setting them down nearby as they leaned down to help groom the fluid out of the kids' fur. Gross, but they didn't seem to mind.

They paused when she asked them a question and their little bushy tail began to wag happily. "Oh, yes! We're in Polaris! It's a big cave! Right in the center. It has a river and a Spire!"

She matched the smile on the canines face before calming down once they started grooming her fur. Her first friend and they were helping her get the icky feeling off her fur. Her eyes moved to the vials that they moved before grooming her. "What are those?" She had never seen anything like those before.

She looked around the cave like place and smiled wider. "Polaris and a river? Can we go? Also whats a spire?" Curiosity showed in her voice as she spoke.

Deli continued grooming the young tiger, waiting for a good moment. The made small talk in the meantime, answering her questions easily and pleasantly. "Oh, yeah, we can see the river! It's so clear you can see the bottom! And the Spire is this, uh..." They paused as they tried to form some kind of words to describe what the Spire was supposed to be. They'd only really seen it a couple of times and they really had no clue what it was. "It's like a big big rock that stretches really high. It's magical and if you get close it might shock you! It's kinda scary but super cool!" They panted happily as they thought about the one time they'd dared to get close to the crystal - the tiniest streak of magicka had struck where their foot had been a second before and it had scared them enough that they'd stayed away ever since. How exciting!

They looked down at the vials when she asked and their grin got wider. "Oh these?" They pulled one close, the red one. "It's paint! I made it myself with feathers! Found the vials in a cave." They leaned down and picked it up, holding it out for the tiger to see.

...and dumping its contents right on top of their head.
