His feathers are fluffing and flattening in an uneven rhythm, as if he's fidgeting or maybe just seeing how different expressions feel, and he fluffs his face and flattens his neck feathers in indignation at the dismissive wing wave. Nemo does manage to calm himself down, with a deep breath, trying to logic away the dismissal as some sort of... faith in his abilities.

At least one of us has faith in my courage. The thought gives him pause, and he makes an internal vow to, at the very least, make sure Glory doesn't see him as a disappointment, and give anything other than flying that comes his way a good honest try.

"I'll do my best, sir, but I can't do much with no starting point for my knowledge, hence why I asked you." The positive ... what? Not a compliment, but simply a statement of appreciation makes him feel warm.

The offer of a ride, though, has his beak open in a small wheeze of inquisitive wonder, and then he draws himself up to his full height, just even with Glory's impressive stature, even at this young age, and he ruffles his shoulder feathers. "With all due respect sir, I'd probably hurt you, with either my talons or weight... and I don't want that. I can walk, I've got a perfectly good set of legs that are yet to fail me!" If he had arms one could put a classic anime style arm flex and gesture with his tone of voice, offering an open beaked smile and a flare of his primaries on one wing in front of his chest as if to gesture at the entirety of his scrawny, feathered body.

@Glory

Perhaps Glory misjudged the little bird - it wasn't, after all, much bigger then Scorch when he'd carried the owl around, but it had been a long time. "Er, then I'll just carry you in my talons. I am definitely strong enough for that - I've carried heavier then you through multiple caves and tunnels. The other option is flying." They were, after all, sitting on a tall rock formation and the way down was both precarious and hard to see and Glory wasn't in the mood to wait while this baby tried to climb his way down.

"I can set you on the ground if you'd really just prefer to walk. It's a ways to go, however."
