Mercurius regarded the sprouting hunk of Apatite with a curious set of eyes, ears pricking imploringly for an explanation that was sure to come; Pride wasn't the sort to spontaneously just force a gemstone into existence, especially not one so large. Quite a lump of magicka would have to go into such an effort.

Tallying up mental notes and contemplating how exactly he would move such a massive stone to Monoceros, the beast nodded, "thank you." Another guardian - on top of Oliver's father, if he came. Wise, and something good to come from this aside from having the Seven in the Kingdom's corner. Rift may be upset that Mercurius went back on their deal, but he couldn't possibly deny the usefulness in having another protector and eyes in the proverbial skies.

"Stay safe, Pride," Mercurius echoed softly as the stag left. His gaze turned to the fresh offering, and he hummed. Perhaps it would be helpful to fashion a bit of a sling - something to bear the weight of the rock. Alas, there were few vines around here. Only deep roots to dredge from the earth and bind around himself and the rock. With a flick of magicka here and there, he did just that.

It was heavy - as expected - and he'd have a sore back afterwards - as expected - but it would do.
