Mature for sexual themes regarding reproduction, but nothing explicit.
Per a recent suggestion, we are creating this poll to see how our community feels in regards to a possible new game mechanic that could be introduced into Origin.
Please read the descriptions and consequences of the following poll options:
1. No natural reproduction at all. The game continues on as is with sexual intercourse resulting in nothing.
2. Gembounds can sexually reproduce, but babies are born without stones and die. Non-magical creatures (creatures without stones) have no chance of survival in the cave system. The air and disease alone would kill a non-magical creature not designed to live in the caves early on. Unfortunately, these natural babies would not be considered 'designed to live in the caves.' The benefit to this might be for Gembounds to see what fresh, tiny and ugly babies look like of their species; as such, natural reproduction would only be possible by parents of the same species.
3. Gembounds can sexually reproduce, but the parent becomes a host for a chrysalis and eventually dies. For the resulting baby to be born with a stone, it will still need to mature in a chrysalis and have a stone for its magic. The parent Gembound may serve as a host for the chrysalis, but as the chrysalis grows, the large foreign body will eventually kill the host / the parent Gembound, and the host parent will die. The host parent will provide some of its stone with Give Stone while the life-giving parent supplies the magical energy through its sperm to begin the formation of a creature. Babies born from a hosted chrysalis will be younger than juvenile, but older than newborn. The host parent will suffer extreme pain and magic fatigue as the chrsyalis grows, until eventually their body is destroyed to make way for the newly hatching Gembound. Again, only same species Gembounds may sexually reproduce.
