Delta had realized its folly quickly, and scrambled further into the darkest corner it could find. Any time it sensed someone getting close, it hid further, avoiding detection... But also avoiding finding anyone, either.

By the time it had gotten over itself, the game was called to an end. Apparently no one had found anyone, and it was declared a draw. That wasn't good enough.

Delta would have to do better. Delta would do better. It swore upon this, and eyed up its siblings, considering what it would need to do to practice. Next time, it would impress Overseer Vargas. Everything in its bones demanded that it did. That was its purpose and solitary goal.

It would die to meet those demands. It learned, from this, that too much caution was as damning as no caution at all, and it would remember that. No, next time, it would do more.

Garnet - Epsilon

The small creature has a hard time hiding - and implementing it's ideas as it fails its magic, but is able to stay out of claws reach and of gaze of the seekers well enough.

Irritation prickles at it's scales as it also fails to find anyone... and vows to do better. There's only better to do, right?

Anyhow.

Another day, another chance. They hope. Then follow their grouping of … compatriots? Family? Back into the tunnel.
