Deep in the moss, hidden by eons of plantlife hid a green glowing duller than what surrounded it. It could very well be easily mistaken for what lined the walls of this tunnel.

This green- this gem, however, held a being much more interested in the animals that passed through.

Life sparked into her, her eyes flashing open as she lay in wait floating in the amniotic fluid of her chrysalis. Her claws were first to flex followed my her mouth in a silent yawn, only to cough at the entrance of her capsule's liquid in her system.

Blinking hard, she shook her head and pressed at the chrysalis that held her prisoner and broke through with a hard push of her limbs. Air flooded through to the being's lungs. A split jaw stretched as her cough echoed through the tunnel's short length. She was alive again.

Her first order of action was to shake out her pelt, her quills clacking against each other where they hit and her ears flopping from side to side. Moss had fallen into her fur where it laid above her for all those years.

Her glow flared for a second as she sneezed out the remnants of her old home. Blech. How long had she been asleep? She turned to regard the chrysalis she'd come from with a vague interest, ears perked up to it as if it were making a noise. The only thing given to it was a short huff before she began to make her way towards Orion, her limbs shaking out along the way.

She should report to Ograz right away. There was a sense that she hadn't reported for a while, but she hesitated mid-step. What would she even report?

... What was her last report? She usually remembered that much, and yet it was lost on her.

Oh, boy. The Overseer won't be happy with this. Lowering her head, her eyes laid straight ahead as her ears swiveled from side to side. She'd just have to get information again, then, but this really wasn't like her.

Pulling herself together, she resumed on her way to Orion, meandering this time as she listened to the world around her.
