He expression fell a bit. If a planet was something outside the caves...then Seshat didn't think she'd ever get to see it. Forget about not seeing the outside, if there even was one, she probably wouldn't even be able to go beyond this one. She couldn't chase the light. She could only sit here and watch the world pass her by.
The sadness that this brought her was profound. Xevir would go off, without her, to other caves. Other places. Work up courage to walk into a place called Hydra to eat salt. She would try new food, see new places, maybe even discover what the planet was. And she would be here. Forever.
But she didn't want to hold Xevir back.
But then Seshat hesitated.
@Seshat
Seshat watched from the corner of her eye as Xevir pushed futiley at her body, trying to turn her to face the light. Her ears swiveled to the side as her friend failed to push her, only feeling a little bit of weight against her as the oryx tried to move her body.
Her breath caught in her throat. It...it was beautiful. Blue crystals growing off of each other, accumulating to a point at the ceiling of the cave, every inch of it glowing and radiating light. Xevir introducing the Spire to her only strengthened this sudden love for what she saw in front of her. The source of magic. All magic. Which also meant the source of all life, right? And this source of magic was beautiful beyond belief.
She sighed softly.
-Exit Xevir
@Seshat
Seshat nodded dully. She watched with her eyes as Xevir trotted away, sighing for a second. She was just a bother, then. Probably. She couldn’t follow her friend where they were going so they’d left her behind. It was only natural. She had a life and Seshat...probably didn’t. What kind of life was this, after all, just sitting here, staring at one place, one point, forever, until somebody moved her?
The panic welled up in her again, suddenly claustrophobic as she struggled against her own gemstone, to try and get free because she needed to get out, she had to get out of here! She had to live and follow her friend to Hydra or wherever else she was going.
She was alone.
