Erzu had been digging for a while, right underneath the spire. Yes, she dared to go that far, to dig underneath the spire. But nonetheless, she was careful. The spire was a big source of magic in the caves. She wanted to see what lied beneath it. The spire could be seen by all, but was there anything hidden beneath? She had made a tunnel that led well beneath the spire. She wondered, if she should find something here? The arrdvark kept digging, wanting to see if anything lied beneath this powerful force.
Erzu would feel the soil growing more cold and tougher to dig through, but she kept digging; and eventually, she would break loose of her tunnel and fall several feet before her fall would be broken by a thick, large body.

As she tumbles to the ground, a thunderous grunt shakes the small cave and the body is quick to turn and snatch at her. It was the immediate response of being startled awake by something touching you: was it a bug? Just a hair? Something more?

His big grubby hands found her, barely, and he struggled to get a better grip. A rush of cold wind filled his small room as his beady eyes worked to see what manner of tiny creature had dare disturb him.

But this... he had never seen anything like this before. Still, he did not like trespassers, and even less those that would wake him from a long and deep slumber. His lips curled into an angry scowl.

He.. was... SVAROG!! His chest expanded as he inhaled, preparing for a big... ROAAARR!!! that shook every piece of Polaris, the Spire an epicenter for a small earthquake.
Erzu kept digging up until she hit what seemed to be the wrong spot. She landed on something hard, but very furry. Before she knew it, a grunt could be heard. Large hands got a hold of her, and she wiggled a bit, but was unable to get free. What in the caves was it?! Apparently, whatever it was, it did not look happy. It let out a roar, and as soon as it stopped roaring, she spoke up, and quickly. "I am so sorry for disturbing you! Look, I'm just a child, a young gembound! My name is Erzu! I wanted to see what was under the spire, and that's when I fell on top of you! I didn't know you were down here! If you can understand me please make a sign! I apologize!" Her ears lowered and she trembled greatly. Most creatures that had the capacity to speak would have felt sorry for her at this point. But this creature seemed to be feral. She showed submission, as not to face the wrath of this big creature. She wanted to ask its name, but she was in no position to be asking questions. She only gave explanations.

It was little, and while he had trouble keeping it within his palm as it wriggled and struggled to be free, he was able to get a fair look at it. Well, he had seen a lot of strange creatures throughout his time, so it was no surprise to him that yet another strange being found its way into his den; but he did not like it. He did not like being snuck up on, roused from slumber, maybe even spied on...

The little creature began to speak quickly and his head tilted to hear her better.

Sorry. He had heard that word before, from a creature that was also tiny; from several. Usually when he heard this word, the creatures did their business and then left. He grumbled in his throat and placed the child onto the ground, pointing with his other hand to a tunnel that would lead her out of his cave.

And briefly, he looked up to the hole that had been dug into his roof. He'd have to fix that. Ugh.
The creature suddenly, and surprisingly gently, put her down. It seemed it understood and accepted her apology. Not only that, it was politely telling her to leave. She made her way to the entrance of the tunnel, to show she was leaving, but stopped. She turned to the beast, hoping to have a nice but short conversation with him. What was this beast doing underneath the spire? "Um, thanks for not hurting me or anything. But, I was hoping to talk to you before I left. If you can understand me, I have some questions to ask you, but if you don't want to, just shake your head. First, if you don't mind, what are you doing beneath the spire, and also, are there any other rooms down here? Oh, I also forgot! Want to be friends?" If the beast wanted her to leave, then she would. But if it was underneath the spire, what other juicy secrets were here? She couldn't help it, children were curious beings.

He struggled to understand all of her words, coming so quickly; he struggled with language in general. When she was done throwing questions at him, Svarog—having not understood most of what she said—shook his head anyway, and again pointed to the exit.

She was testing what little thread of patience remained keeping him from gobbling her up.

@Erzu
Erzu could see this creature didn't understand much language. She nodded, then decided to leave going through the exit tunnel, and not looking back. If she truly wanted to be kind to this creature, she would leave its home in peace. The aardvark made a note to never dig under the spire again. If this creature wanted to be alone, then so be it.
