Stasis. Unending.
She was not--unlike others--encased in darkness. Instead, her crystalline shell was one nearly clear but nonetheless hard. Pristine, pastel orange and almost translucent. But she slept, never to peer upon the glasslike ceiling... until now. Russet eyes blinked open. The harshness of newfound light was not as such when one's chrysalis was as lucid as hers. She did not know why she woke. Only that this once-beloved and secret home of hers had become cramped. As it were, she already felt naked. As if on display. Her beak tapped gently, at first, on the shell to test its hardness. There was not much room to put much force. She screwed her eyes shut from the effort and attempted to break through.

It didn't seem to give. Just when all seemed hopeless, she heard a very small... crack. She pushed again. More tiny cracks. With a final shove, the gem shattered. The bird bloomed from the remains like a flower in the dawn. Her white complexion practically glowed. The peacock was free, yet still so very very lost.
As Aran came into this place, it was illuminated from the crystals and mosses covering the area. It was incredibly easy for his eyes to spot others, and as he moved through, a flash of white caught his dark eyes. Moving on his long legs, Aran approached that form. It almost reminded him of that winged creature he had met when he had just arrived in this world.

Except it was completely different.

The backdrop of this place provided enough light for him to be able to see the bird that was bathed in white and pink. Not like any other being he had seen in the caverns. "Hello there." He said, stopping in front of the bird and the chrysalis. It looked like the thing had shattered, sharp shards of it lingered and covered the land around them.
