Fang stood in front of the spire, never seeing anything like it. What was it? What was it there for? She was not intimidated, as she stood and stared it down. The dog did not wag her tail. She did not see the need. Fang spoke out loud in Japanese, not caring who heard. "What kind of stupid thing is this? It just sits there doing nothing but glowing. Unbelievable" The pup was oblivious to a lot of things. As she stood, her posture spoke not to mess with her. But being a pup, she may not be taken seriously.

as a maiden she tiptoes shy with her light...

The silhouette of the spider stood framed in the blinding blue light of the Spire. It's jagged peak reflected in her eight eyes. The source of all power in this cave, almost close enough to touch. Khloros' words never left her and she had time to ponder them. Was the Spire keeping them trapped here, doomed to repeat an endless cycle?

Who was she before she was remade? This failed creation Astraea claimed she was born from, its gem she inherited; was she a reincarnation, or daughter, or both? Was this what the horse meant by being trapped, that it was forcing them to be reborn?

She wished she could ask the Spire-Mother within- or well, she was somewhere. The afterlife, Khloros assumed. She had no intention of going there any time soon. But what she could do was touch it.

Thothaga extended a claw, daring herself to reach, inching closer and closer. Then, she withdrew it. The memory Khloros' body peeling away into Spire haunted her. It could happen to her as well.

Thothaga was not ready to take that risk yet.

"Thothaga speaking."
Thothaga thinking.

@Fang
The pup turned to see a spider dare to touch the dangerous glowing thing. What was the spider doing?! Did it have a death wish?! Though the pup would not admit she spoke out of concern, she spoke anyways. "Are you stupid? You can't touch that! Baka!" Her tone was harsh. But at the same time it held curiosity. As usual the pup stood proud, even when surprised. "What is this thing anyway?" She was still a child, and children needed to learn. She wanted to know of the glowing thing before her.
