The girl clung onto the komodo dragon, trying to huddle the scales to get warmth to little avail. It was still rather nice though and so Quix clung resolutely to his hide with her tufted paws, claws scabbling against him in a non-harmful way even as he tossed and turn. It was fun! She liked the swinging, bucking, jerking movements. "Weeeeee!” she giggled beneath the rain as she fought to cling on, every bit of her senses made alive by each shifting as she regained control everytime he attempted to swing her off. Eventually though, his jerking movements started giving her a headache and so she slid off. Quix brushed her tail a little with one hind foot, then scrunched up her face and gave a sharp, cute toothy grin to Yara. "Lets get some bugs!” and then she yipped and bounced on the spot, and wagged her tail furiously as he waited for the komodo dragon to follow her.

Much to his satisfaction, the little fennec fox did eventually slide off of him, landing on the ground with a thump. He snorted and whirled around to face her, narrowing his eyes with obvious displeasure. However, she seemed completely unmoved by his show of unfriendliness and soon after perked right up again, bouncing around as she suggested they go "look for bugs". Ghanyarah tilted his head. He'd eaten bugs before, but they weren't very tasty nor were they nutritious. They were just small things that only served to distract himself from hunger for a few moments. But the komodo dragon was a meat eater - insects really didn't do it for him anyways. Maybe in searching for insects he could find something to eat for himself... So, the komodo dragon snorted and took a few slow steps after her, grumbling. "Okay fine, but I'm not eating bugs, I'm eating something else." Right, Ghanyarah, it wasn't as if she'd shove them down your throat. Would she?

OOC: Quix just being a brat.
The komodo dragon snorted and seemed unimpressed with her suggestion. The fennec fox flicked her furry tail across his snout to reprimand him. "Bugs are good for you!” she half-scolded, and without turning to look at him wandered on. She had to plough through the mud at some point because of the never-ending rain which was literally turning everything into mud (unfair how her coat was all drenched while the komodo dragon seemed perfectly fine with his scales deflecting everything) and soon, she found a large, rotting log lying in the dirt. Here, she stood back, making way for Yara to move forward. She cast her pastel blue eyes on him expectantly. What was he now – yes, dragon power for doing the hard job where her strength failed her. "TA-DA! Open it up!” she yipped and wagged her tail expectantly at the morose old man, waiting for him to uncover her treasure trove.

He lumbered bemusedly along behind her, rolling her eyes every time she may turn to look at him or even speak to him - however, somewhere deep inside, Ghanyarah found himself somewhat enjoying her companionship. For so long he had been lonely here in the jungle, then he made friends with Dragon and Eve and he found the little sharp-toothed predator that he defended from the mongoose. And he realized that companionship wasn't so bad, especially now that he was bigger and had little reason to fear anything. Even if his companion was an annoying little prey animal, it seemed he'd rather tail along on an adventure with her than leave. If he truly didn't enjoy her presence, he probably would have left a long time ago.

They arrived at a rotting log and Ghanyarah stopped, turning his head to the fennec fox. However, she made no attempt to dig into it - instead she moved back, looking expectantly at him. Open it up? Well, this was probably where bugs lived. Most likely. It would make sense. He snorted and again rolled his eyes before focusing on the log, trying to summon his magic...

Post-Roll Edit:
The ice first began to prickle on his hide, fronds of white glistening in intricate patterns. Then suddenly, the ice began to manifest on the log, but from the inside - for a few seconds, nothing was seen, but Ghanyarah could feel it. He could feel the cold coalescing within the log, then suddenly several sharp spikes of ice burst from the bark, shattering the log and revealing its contents. Ghanyarah huffed and stepped back, proud of himself, only for curiosity to soon consume him. The komodo waddled closer to it, sticking his nose into the log and examining what lay within.
