ORIGIN - [[ CONTEST : MM ]] that's why we're making headlines

Something was wrong. Nemesis could feel it in her forehead, like a migrane, building up in her skull. She hated it, and it was driving her crazy. She stormed around Monoceros, trying to figure out just what was bothering her. It had to be something, so what was it? Her tail lashed like a whip behind her.

You know, Fang hadn't come home in a while. Just where was she? Worry filled the protector of the Queen. What was a Fire without a reason to burn? Just a devourer, waster, burner of life. She shuttered at the thought and looked around for anyone that might have seen Fang at all.

Of course, as usually, she wasn't the most convincing. A rhino stomping around and snorting and looking rather grumpy didn't tend to attract other gembounds. "Faaaaaaang! Has anyone seen Faaaang?" She called, stomping her feet against the dry earth. Where the heck was everyone?

"OI! EVERYONE! WHERE IS FANG?!"

ooc;; i believe the plan is that Fang finds the snowmen and comes and gets the Merrymen to come and destroy them, so feel free to post here and once Fang comes and explains we can all exit and start making DESTROY THEM ALL posts~

The rhino's roar echoed throughout the room. The sound was loud and overbearing, but it was enough that Magdalena could isolate the direction and slowly pick apart her location. Her footsteps were calculated and gentle, stepping strangely as she tried to make her way across the ledges and dusty floor towards Nemesis. Wide eyes stared blindly into the space ahead of her, useless while her head swiveled and her ears moved forward, listening closely. The dog's long, slender form moved like a ghost through the cave, producing the eerie sounds of a sightless creature's dragging paws, curly fur gleaming in the dim light.

She was beginning to close in on the rhino, but for good measure, Magdalena summoned the magic of her howlite crown and sought out the pull of the bacteria in the rhino. There, to the side - she felt the churning of life localized in one singular form. Magdalena swerved towards her, listening to the sound of the raging twister nearby, listening to the sound of breathing, and heartbeats, until she had found the rhino and delicately stepped towards her. For the moment, Magdalena said nothing. She had no information on where Diamondfang was. In fact, Magdalena was probably the least useful creature in this situation, but at the very least Nemesis would now have a second set of senses (sans eyes) to seek out the little weasel.

Once she had reached Nemesis, Magdalena quietly walked past her, her head stooping down low. But she could feel the creature's large presence, and she felt the bacteria and knew what comprised her, and so she continued to walk. She moved around, behind Nemesis until the dog came up on her other side and stood next to her. There, Magdalena waited, craning her neck back as she stared up to the ceiling of the room and listened.

Very few things truly bothered her. Try to insult her she'll laugh it off with an equally insulting word. Taunt her for her size and she'll taunt you about yours. Insult her skills she call you out for it. However, throwing up a snowman that mimicked her completely but with rude implications and she lost it. As she was walking back to Monoceros from one of her usual rounds of the caves she happened upon it in Tunnel J. Three snowmen: one of Fire, one of Mags, and one of herself. The snowmen at first had impressed her with how lifelike they were... but then she saw how overly large The Fire looked and then she noticed the huge buck teeth her snowman had. They did not look like that! Most importantly she did not look like that! Her beautiful form was not buck toothed! Whoever did this must have been jealous!

Angrily she kicked out with a hind foot, effectively demolishing the snowman. Who did this? She would have them drawn and quartered! A queen didn't need these things all over the place... it was blasphemous! She would take action and--

Something clicked in her mind. A far off memory of when she'd stolen something from Canis. The Bonebound were a thing weren't they? Lead by that boneheaded leader! He was angry at how she'd stolen from him so he planted these snowmen all over the place! Even if this wasn't true and she was grasping for straws it didn't matter. Those punks needed to be taught a lesson anyhow... The Merrymen were a force to be reckoned with! With that she scampered away back to Monoceros.

Unlike her normal swagger and smirk she barged into Mono on all fours, happy to see that Mags and Fire were already assembled. Apparently she was being searched for. "I'm here!" She didn't slow or stop to say hello. The mongoose simply scampered her way up the rhinoceros and onto the gem. Her tiny silver eyes were smoldering in anger. "I've been out explorin' an' you know what I found?" Her gaze swept over Nem's eyes then over to the blind dog. "Someone's made stupid snowmen to make fools outta us! There's one for each 'a us! They got me with buck teeth, you lookin' like ya've had too many sweet berries, an' you with an overly large sniffer!" Angrily the mongoose slammed a fist into the palm of her other paw as she continued. "I think I know who did it too! Those Boneheads in Canis! I say we aughta teach'em a lesson! Show'em what happens to idiots that make fun'a the Merrymen!" She leaped off of The Fire and looked at her comrades. "I say we assemble an' go after'em! Who's with me?" Inspirational speeches were something she was apparently good at as despite her tiny size her voice was surprising emotional and full of anger as she tried to rile up her associates.

The princess came along side her, startling the rhino at first. The elegant dog was quiet, soft, gentle. She was, as ever, like a strange, tall beast that was too silent, too unnatural. She was practically a ghost. Nemesis sniffed at her, but when she didn't have anything to say about Fang, she left it be. The princess would speak if she knew anything-- she was a bit of a reserved one. That was fine with Nemesis, anyway.

To Nemesis' sweet relief, Fang came running in through the tunnel entrance, her voice carrying a bright, friendly greeting. It didn't take long for Fang to return to her faithful perch on her Fire's bright, lumpy gem. She raied her head, slowly and as elegantly as possible (compared to Magdalena, she probably looked like a huge dork, but still) to raise her Queen to a height where she could call out to all of Monoceros.

"Come on, where are all of ya?!" She added on in a loud roar as Fang finished her speech. She hoped that stupid, awful fake-rhino wouldn't come of course. She lashed her tail and snorted. Surely Louie would show up? She huffed and scuffed her foot on the dry dirt.

She stopped being all grumpy, just for a moment, to lower her head again, tilting it towards Magdalena. As delicately as she could, she touched her nose to the wiry fur of the white, beautiful princess. "You should come with us," she said softly, her voice so full of hope. If Louie wasn't coming, perhaps it could be a wonderful, lovely Girl Mission with no stupid boys. That would be... just... So wonderful.

Silently Magdalena waited, knowing that if she was patient she would be delivered the reasoning for Nemesis searching for Diamondfang. However, the mongoose was quick to arrive even before Nemesis' explanation. She heard the mongoose scamper up, the tiny pitter patter of feet on the ground, and her voice as she scampered up Nemesis' hide to sit upon the rhino. Her voice was booming, suddenly speaking out as she explained her absence and the apparent source of her anger. Somebody had been going around making silly effigies of the group, most specifically the three girls gathered. Magdalena's was said to have a big nose. She didn't know why, but she cracked a grin, finding it humorous. Magdalena didn't truly realize how offensive it was meant to be - considering she didn't really know what she looked like.

However, the mongoose placed the blame on another group and demanded charging in to challenge them. Magdalena's ears twitched and her smile faltered. She was in no state to fight anybody... Hell, she didn't even know how to fight! The dog suddenly rose and swayed her head towards Nemesis. "Perhaps... We shouldn't charge in looking for a fight... Quite yet." She murmured, brows furrowed in concern. "What of the snowmen? Do you not think that dismantling them would be an act of defiance in itself? We should take them down... Before anybody else sees." Magdalena added, then sealed her lips. That was a lot of talking for her, and her chest had grown tight, her throat hurt. She needed to preserve herself, and wouldn't it be fun to play in the snow with Nemesis?

Indeed, where were all of the other Merrymen? Off exploring elsewhere? Well, they had better be doing something worth while or she'd have an earful for them. No matter, Fire was more than enough to deal with a few Boneheads and she was ready for some action! The mongoose was about to turn and lead the way out but stopped when a soft voice spoke. The young dog who stood next to Nemesis wanted to speak her piece so the red meerkat listened. It would be foolish not to let everyone get their word in, wouldn't it? After all, the Merrymen were supposed to be a family so a family should be able to say what they wanted... within reason. Fang would listen, so long as it was sound advice and went along with what she wanted in the long run.

In this case it wasn't exactly what she wanted but it made sense. "Alright, Magsie, ya have a point. How about this then," She walked back and forth in front of the two girls, paws gesturing as she outlined a new idea. "You two go out as a team an' find those snowmen an' destory'em. I'll send out the other Merrymen to do the same. While I, I'll go t'Canis an' scout around the territory. I'll nab some information, destroy a snowman or two along the way an' WHAM! We'll destroy the snowmen in an act of defiance while we get information on those Boneheads for a later attack." She paused in front of the two. "How's that sound, hmm?" Hopefully the little dog wouldn't mind. It was as much as she was gonna compromise anyway. She was still the leader and would still go to Canis to find something out about those idiots if it killed her.

Magdalena was soft and gentle, and she suggested an alternative to kicking Bonebound's butt-- getting rid of the snowmen. It seemed like Fang thought that was a good idea, and considering Fire was made of hot and warm, the snow would stand little to no chance against her. She snorted and nodded, her tail swishing, and slowly lowered her great, massive body to the ground.

"Sounds good to me," she answered finally, her deep, dark eyes glaring towards the only exit of Monoceros. "Maggie, climb up on to my back and I'll take ya' there." And there she waited, until the lanky, awkward white dog got settled on to her back, before standing once more.

"We'll catch up to you later," she told Fang with confidence, the warm fire in her heart already burning. She was on a mission with her two favorite girls in the whole world, and she was going to show the world who was boss!

It was time to wreck some goddang snowmen!

Magdalena waited patiently while the mongoose thought over her suggestion, then eventually decided to incorporate the idea into her own plan. She listened, ears curiously picked up while Diamondfang paced back and forth. Soon the plan had evolved to her and Nemesis going off to take down the snowmen while Diamondfang would head off to spy on the Bonebound. Magdalena hadn't met any of the Bonebound - in fact, the whole aspect of spying was lost on a blind girl. But she smiled and nodded, accepting the new plan. Even Nemesis liked it. She felt a swell of pride, happy to be able to contribute.

Once they had settled on a new game plan, Magdalena clambered onto Nemesis' back. She curled up in the narrow at the base of her neck, between her shoulders and there the dog waited while the rhino wisked her away to the problem area. She was pretty excited to play in the snow with Nemesis - ugly snowmen aside.

Well, seemed as if they were good on this plan! Fang watched as the blind dog mounted the rhino then both trundled away. The mongoose stood for a moment before going to her den to grab her spear which she tied around her waste at the vine belt. Properly geared up the mongoose then left herself, heading to Canis.
