It had been a couple cycles since One had met Alpha and the Doctor. A couple cycles since his legs had been broken in the name of science. It had healed quite a bit, enough to let him walk for short distances. He was still stuck in the Doctor's den most of the time, though.

And it was BORING.

It was always the same, every day- Practice magic. Watch the rats. Watch the Doctor work.

At least now he could walk, at least somewhat. He was supposed to, to exercise his legs, to help them heal. But he wasn't able to go far. He certainly wasn't able to walk the length of Tunnel P. He wanted to return to the cave he'd hatched in and see it's strange, glowing-crystal studded sky he'd gotten a glimpse of right after he'd hatched. But he was in no safe to go that far now. So until then it meant the same ol' scenery. The same ol' gembound- who generally went about their own business and ignored him.

Tunnel P - Or at least this part of it- looked to be fairly empty at the moment. He slowly stretched his front leg, letting out a sigh of boredom that was interrupted with a squeak as a shock of pain jolted up his leg. He gritted his teeth, gently rubbing it with his good paw, distracted by it for the moment.

Epsilon had been wandering as well- lots to mull over, especially with the promise of Hydra in the future, and a fake life to build itself... where the fake life will actually be applied is up for debate in it's mind, and that makes their gut twist in worry.

Visiting the Doctor is always unpleasant, if enlightening, and so they make their way over- and nearly squeak in shock at the appearance of a Gembound they did not recognize. Who... seemed to be in pain.

Deciding a certain kind of entrance is in order, they take off with a quick flap- and land with a soft thump a few lengths in front of the furry stranger. Their face is impassive, but their large ears give away their curiosity, tilting back and forth as they eye... this one.

They take a page from Orthoclase's book- and try to intimidate the other into speaking first, remaining silent and glowering.

Temporarily preoccupied with pain, One didn't notice the other gembound until a flap of wings and a soft thump alerted him of their presence. He quickly turned to look at them, his claws briefly scratching against the as he nervously shifted.

He matched the hybrid's curiosity, though he did not bother to hide his emotions. Curiosity, mixed with a little confusion and apprehension was plain in his expression. His non-gemstone ear twitched as he eyed them, unsure of what exactly they wanted. When they said nothing to explain themselves, he finally spoke.

"Hello?" He spoke somewhat tentatively. "Do you need something? The- um- Doctor isn't here right now." He said, figuring that's the only reason this gembound was here.

By now the pain in his leg had faded to a faint ache- the ghost of pain. He straightened into a sitting position to better regard the gembound in front of him.

"Why would I be here with no purpose? I came to investigate several things... but," they sit down, letting go of the scowl that had formed on their face, forcing away the habit of rising to questions with venom, like they had always seen from their family. "Since he's not here, you'll have to do. What's your designation, and purpose?"

What's your name, what are you doing here, would have been a much nicer way to phrase that, Epsilon. C'mon.

They deliberately shift their body language to be more relaxed, letting their knees shift, shoulders relax, and ears droop slightly to the sides... no reason to be more of an asshole. How does Orthoclase do it? It's exhausting.
