Tahi let out a sharp breath and rested his head on the ground where the mushrooms had failed to sprout, breathing heavily and feeling exhaustion seep into his bones. Fatigue was as heavy on his tongue as the residual magic, and he decided that it was best to be done. Tahi cast a last glance at the Spire and stood on wobbly legs to walk a safe-enough distance from it before collapsing again, considering for a time. He wondered if the Seven would come looking for him if he stayed too long, but also wondered if he had the strength to make the journey back just yet.

The fawn was shaking, just a little bit. He'd done many successful things today, and now had a much more refined understanding of his abilities. He also now had a better understanding of his limits. Perhaps he could cast one or two more spells, but not with a significant degree of success and certainly not without being totally unable to walk the way home (and wasn't it odd, that Orion was undoubtedly home?).

He couldn't help but smile. He liked Polaris. Certainly he wouldn't want to live here or anything, but... well, making trips certainly wasn't a bad thing. Tahi-shei grinned and closed his eyes. Maybe he'd come back once he had a new spell. For now, though, he was going to take a nap. When he woke up, he'd head home with some level of success. At the very least, he'd done what he'd come to do.
