Asimona was lounging in her den, sitting against her small hoard of crystalline treasures, lazily pushing it around with one of her claws, occasionally smirking when she came across something that brought up a particular memory. Some of the stones she'd picked out of Pisces a long time ago, little trinkets that Wyvern had brought for her, little carvings in ice and stone and crystal that she'd made in her freetime...and one particular thing that had her pausing.

She carefully picked the diamond out of the pile. It was a fairly large chunk, resting heavy in her claws. She remembered the day she'd found it - she'd been soaring around orion, on her way back from Pisces, when she'd heard someone curse from down bellow. After flying down to investigate, all she found was the crystal shard and, in the distance, the shape of a strange red-tinted zebra running off into the distance. She'd pursued, to ask what it was or perhaps offer it back, but the zebra refused to take it, explaining her reasoning as "the only stone I'll accept is the one from my love" before galloping off.

Strange...but Asimona was not one to turn down something so beautiful. She'd felt the magic in her palm, thrumming with some strange power she didn't recognize, but she'd only stashed it back here, safe in her hoard, where she could admire its beauty.

But now...now she thought of something else. The gemstone...it was alive, wasn't it? It was just a guess, but it carried almost like an air of importance, like it had been retrieved at great cost to someone. It wasn't just an ordinary gemstone.

The selfish thought fell over her - what if she just...brought it back, then? Accept another child into the family? With a small small, she grasped the gemstone tightly and pressed some of her own life magic into it, feeling a wave of tiredness fall over her as it finished. A soft blue glow came from the stone for just a moment before fading away. The life had taken.

Asimona moved to the back of her den and set the stone against the wall, so that it could grow safely. She'd watch over it when she could, and when it hatched, no matter what it was, she'd love it, just as she loved all her children.
